With that being said, I do wish he’d score a couple more from corners. Like Laursen used to!

He is a good decoy for our main aerial weapon Buendia to be fair.

Funny really, I remember a few posters hitting the vinegar strokes in pre-season, at the transfer dealings Leeds were doing.

It looked on paper that they were reinvesting the Raphinha and Phillips money wisely but ended up more like how we reinvested the Benteke Delph money.

Mckennie works in a 3 for the US. Think he frequently plays the pivot for Leeds and like McGinn, while he can do a job there, doesn’t have the regular discipline and quick passing under pressure to be a DM in the pivot.

Leeds are missing Adams more than anything. He was a one man clean up crew for them and their goals against record has suffered horrifically since he’s been out.

Obligatory comment that Leeds have spent 120 plus million in the last two years and still start Ayling.

When I first seen him play at Schalke he really reminded me of Tim Cahill, he needs to be playing in a role like he did for me.

They really didn't - I don't understand how people get this so wrong so regularly :D

From the side that got promoted, they lost:
    Their first choice goalkeeper
    Both wing backs
    2 back up centre backs
    2 First choice midfielders
Their first choice striker and also their backup striker

They also sold/released a load of squad fillers.

If you watched Forest last season, the success they were getting were from the wing backs bombing on up the pitch and causing havoc.  Djed Spence looked absolutely immense (which led to Spurs buying him from Boro).  The only players who were "there" from their first team squad last season were Worrall, Cook, McKenna, Yates, Johnson and Surridge - of those, Cook isn't good enough (arguably McKenna too, although I think he won their player of the season) and Surridge was essentially their third choice striker.

Maybe they didn't need 30 players, but 20 really isn't that far off what was required to almost stand still in terms of squad depth.

If they had stopped at 15 it would have been sensible. Last season they had an incredibly settled side with great momentum by the end of the season. Why they didn't try and keep as much of that together is a mystery as they showed in the FA cup they could dismantle PL teams too. Spence could have been attainable on loan from Spurs, his move there has been a disaster for him. Garner and Davis might not be brilliant but both were settled and crowd favourites. With the resources they have both were very attainable. Cook and Colback were the 2 who don't have the legs for PL football but both could have been grand to have around for experience.

Like at Chelsea I can only imagine how difficult it has been to organise training with such numbers, there is a reason top teams like to have tight squads.

Tells you how bad their recruitment is: record £35m signing striker Rutter unused sub. Has played fewer than 10 games since signing in Jan. I’d be livid with that god awful defence every week and the leadership signing players they don’t need or use. Hilarious from an outside perspective though.

He doesn't stand out for their u21s either, I never seen him play in his Hoffenheim days but this season he looks a long way away from PL quality.

They'd considerably worsen (as would every team if you take out their two best players) - but worse than mid-table? Fighting relegation then? Nonsense.

Still have loads of good PL players; Lloris, Romero, Bentancur, Kulusevski and Richarlison would improve most teams in the league. I liked Spence at Forest and I think there is surely more to come from Bissouma too.

They're miles off the Poch era though. That team was exceptional in comparison to this one.

Bentancur getting injured cost them more than anything else this season. If Kane leaves it will free up resources for 2 or 3 new signings. Get them right and they will be a force again albeit unlikely to challenge for any titles.

Why would they do that? Wilson is the better player remember.

That's it, Howe probably thinks they just had an off day. In reality they're an average team with an average manager who got outclassed by better players and a mastermind tactician.

Hopefully their upcoming opponents follow Emery's blueprint of how to beat them.

We should share all data and analytics on them with Leicester, do Smith a favour too.

OK, what Forest have done is literally no different to what every promoted side ever have done.  They've signed some players.

    Good.

Nobody has ever done it on the scale of them, complete insanity what they have tried when the had half a decent team left from their promotion winning side.

Depends. If all clubs are smart and don't pay the over inflated fees for players like ziyech gallagher etc then they will be.

But chelsea always seem to get good fees for players that are not that great (under roman anyway but who knows under these guys)

I wouldnt mind chabolah or pulisic at villa tbh

Isn't Pulisic meant to be a bit of an arsehole though? We have a good group of characters at the moment so we would want to maintain that.

Chalobah could be converted into an Emery right back but you'd imagine he wouldn't be sold cheap.
