Spoilt brat entitlement?
I understand the want to win silverware, but remember YOU framed it as either or.
The money gained from being IN the champions league, the players attracted by being IN the champions league, the increase in the clubs profile by being IN the champions league completely eclipses the ‘won a European trophy no one gives two **** about’ argument. Stinks of SHA mentality.
I want Villa to succeed. I want what’s best for Aston Villa. I can see the long term benefit of being in the champions league over winning the conference cup. You, on the other hand, want some shitty trophy you can crack one off over.
Calling people ‘spoilt brats’ over seeing sense. One could argue that YOU, sir, are the spoilt brat - short sighted, and placing your own desires above what is good for the club.
I’ll take both. But if I had to choose - it would be the champions league every single time.
Who did Leicester sign after they got champions league after winning the league?
More to the point who left Leicester after they won the league and qualified for CL....
Finishing 4th will get forgotten in history winning a trophy will not.
There is no guarantee that finishing 4th means anything other than we will play CL football next season.

The same people were suggesting we should be showing the same ambition as Spurs and signing players like Timo Werner instead. Rogers has proven them all wrong.
Anyone mentioning we should have signed Werner, should go find a shovel and hit themselves in the face with it

This thread is mental ....
I'll come back when we have qualified for 4th and troll all of the comments about us being out on our ass and likely to miss out on top 4...
I'm going to have right good time then.

I suppose we can shit our pants at that Palace result or look at it another way. Utd are a total mess at the moment and play Arsenal next. If, and based on what we have seen recently they will, Arsenal beat Utd it means Man City will have to beat Spurs next week to still have winning the title in their own hands.
Spurs losing to City doesn't suit the narrative that too many are projecting on here, we can't finish 4th under any circumstances...

Became a joke at the end but the absolute fear this United team put into some Villa supporters was really embarrassing
Don't talk to soon mate, they could find form and finish above us and then there would be egg on your face

There is a reason why they are not able to keep running at the intensity required to close down the opposition midfield effectively and it is because they are being asked to do it every three days. It catches up with you.
close down the edge of your own box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don’t have the squad depth to keep up the intensity required to do that.
what are you on about, you are finding some ridiculous excuses for not doing one of the basic skills in football

Our midfield has been exposed by losing Kamara and Telemens.
that is irrelevant to my point, if you are on the pitch then you are capable of closing down an opponent

Duran yes, for Rogers mmmm

Yeah, should still keep that out easily.
What would have been easier, would have been someone actually closing an opponent down

Maybe Martinez just does an amazing job of compensating for our woeful defending.... Olsen has not been great but he has not been awful either.... he is just getting compared to a brilliant keeper

We still need to win at least one more game this season for 4th imo.
Can you see us beating Brighton away this weekend with only 3 days rest if we play like this?
