Yeah I think his yellow was the shittiest decision on a very shit night of refereeing.  That and not giving their right back a second yellow for the foul on Digne two minutes after getting booked for waving the imaginary yellow card.

    That was a shocker!

Tbf to the lad, he’s played a ton of football recently. Dougie and McGinn have had their suspensions but since Kamara got injured I think he’s played pretty much every game.

He must have one hell of a sweet spot as most say he needs to play himself into form, now he's playing too often ;)

I love Youri, I love watching clever players, but there are games when he struggles.

    Scary? Just shows that the people working in football are there for a reason. Those who can, do;

Ok maybe not scary, very annoying then that people who are clueless are making a living off spouting their cluelessness.

  4. Btw there were also a couple of people on a Championship podcast that were baffled by the signing, turning their noses up at it. Scary how many clueless 'voices' there are.

It's funny seeing other fans' reactions to him. It's like he spawned out of nowhere. One prominent Arsenal content creator seemed absolutely bewildered at his existence and called him an NPC lmao.

It's very strange to be the team that other fans are jealous of with our scouting and recruitment. It's been a strange 18 months in general really. Almost feels like it's happening to another club. The turnaround has been insane. Championship, 17th, 11th, 14th....7th then 4th...what?

Haha who was the clown that said that?

If Emery had seen some of these highlights then no wonder he went for him.  Its the balance of team and individual that is so impressive.  He doesnt hang on to the ball that much. Always looking for the pass.

Like Youri, releases it quickly whenever it's the best option.

After a delightful win like that and you choose to make that comment, your probably saying Zaniolo and Lenglet are world class, Bailey has been phenomenal this season and I’ll hold my hand up and say i wanted him sold in the summer but hes proved me wrong, sounds like hes not your cup of tea so he can never please you in which case.

Maybe read the date of my comment and my reply to someone who already quoted this from me. It wasn't after that win.

And I have no idea what Zaniolo and Lenglet have to do with anything, bizarre to bring them up.

  8. The way people run down his physical ability you'd think he's completely useless in that area. But he's more than capable of winning duels and has won plenty for us. Won a load at the Emirates.

Can't see it on dean Jones' feed but maybe he said it on his podcast.

It would make sense though, he's got 2 years left on his deal in the summer and you either sell or extend at this point otherwise you lose the value when you have to sell with 1 year left

    Are indeed what?

He's been generally awful, without pace, physicality or urgency since he signed. There's been the odd snapshot of a good player now and again when he's played previously. He was poor against both Brentford and Lille.

The performance against Arsenal was, however, fabulous. More of the same please in future matches.

The talent and application is clearly there which makes the previous performances all the more frustrating.

I'm getting Ray Houghton vibes. Rubbish most of the time but excellent in a game that matters.

Generally awful is a bit harsh IMO.

If you would choose having a season in the CL, over this then I feel deeply sorry for you.

'Feel deeply sorry for you' - how unbelievably patronising 🤣

You do realise that a CL campaign can bring loads of moments that will mean much more to many people than one parade? It's not all about business.
