I'm a positive person and I think every game is our turning point. Just gets worse every game. Unbelievable really...

Biggest job he's had on his hands ever.

Problems clearer than ever tonight. No one shows for the ball let alone screams for it, no one moves. Absolutely dire.
-
Jeeeez he's lazy. Jogs about everywhere. Like he's trying to look cool on the pitch. Game completely bypassed him.

Having a shocker of a game.

If Bruce plays his normal 5 accross the middle then I don't think he will play Westwood to January. You will have Tishobola, Jednick sitting and possibly Grealish or McCormack. Garner will be in there ahead of Westwood to, funny feeling he will get a run as he strikes me as a Bruce player. I.e strong and an eye for goal from midfield
Gardner isn't strong?

Awful awful choice and a huge mistake. Been following Villa 40+ years. This is just one more monumental error of judgement.
What the actual....

Awesome. Good luck Steve.

I'd do a LOL if Dr X surprises us with someone else now.
Says that none of the 3 candidates were suitable and he's decided to take the role on himself.

Further evidence we have to play him at 10! Trevor Sinclair thinks he will become world class: http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/10/11/trevor-sinclair-claims-aston-villa-have-a-world-class-player-on/
QuoteFormer England winger Trevor Sinclair believes Aston Villa have a world class player on their hands in Jack Grealish.
Grealish set up three of the England Under-21s' five goals, to which there was no reply, against Bosnia & Herzegovina on Tuesday afternoon.
And, speaking to BT Sport afterwards, Sinclair maintained his pre-match claim that the Villa youngster can reach the very top of the game.
"The ball looks like it's on a piece of string with him. His awareness, his weight of pass, his vision - he's got everything it takes to make it as a number 10 and that's one of the most difficult positions to play on the field," the 12-cap international said.
He added: "Some of the football that he played today was absolutely sensational. I said world class before the game and I stick by that - he's done nothing to deter me from saying he has the potential to become a world class player."

Scored a penalty for Aus this morning

I really like Sanchez but there's no doubt he was awful for us at times. He looks really classy on the ball which is what confuses me how he lost the ball so much. Definitely a better player than what he mostly showed for us IMO. He seems a likeable, non-confrontational sort of guy as well.

In all fairness it's not his fault. We signed him and we've made him a regular since pretty much the day he came in! He's not gonna turn down a move to the Premier League is he. Ridiculous how we're still 'relying' on him though.

I don't. We don't have the players for a midfield 2.
We need to play 4-3-3, load the midfield and start grinding out some 1-0's.
In fairness we need to get at least 2-0 up so we're not throwing away points during our inevitably fragile last 5-10 minutes.

As poor as those three are, was he actually ever better than any of them?
Yes, easily and obviously. Hadn't realised he'd said he doesn't want to play for us though. We couldn't have done much more.

If those ratings were even close to being accurate we wouldn't be hovering above relegation. 7's and 8's? Really? 4's and 5's would be generous.
You can judge a player's ability and potential, not just their form.

Elphick - 4 - Personality wise seems great, but he makes costly errors and his distribution is awful or non-existent.
Gollini - 7.5 - I really like him, and think he will become very good.
Tshibola - 7 - A talent but need to see a lot more of him.
McCormack - 6 - I think he can do a lot better, his lack of pace is a bit of a concern.
Chester - 7.5 - Our best CB. Looks as assured as he can (with all the mess going on around and in front of him), and is calm on the ball. I really like him.
Jedinak - 4 - Looks awful. Hopefully it's just rustiness and he steps it up.
Kodjia - 8 - A very talented player who we need to start getting the most out of.
Adomah - Won't judge just yet but all he seems to do is lay the ball off back to the RB.

We really miss that bald Yorkshire lad's ability to drive and carry the ball in midfield. Hopefully Tish can do something similar if he ever becomes a regular.

I'm probs being harsh tbh.

He has a terribly weak mentality.

Praying we can/do recall Sanchez and Veretout in January. The latter has 5x the ability of our other mids.
