So far it's looking like Tim has bought well. Possibly very very well. Of course being given proper money to spend helps, but I think he's got good value.
The prospect of yesterday's lineup with Rudy in for Gabby, Grealish in for Sinclair and Gil in for Ayew is pretty mouth-watering when you think that we finally seem to have a half decent midfield and defence.

More to the point, it's apples and oranges - Veretout is a creative player, Sanchez is La Roca.
Sanchez offers more than Westwood defensively, Veretout offers more than Westwood attack-wise. Should be those two with the amazing Gana.
Yep, being able to bring Sanchez on to firm up the defence when we're ahead is a real bonus. I hope and think that's how he'll be used.

They'll probably start with their hair styles.I think it'll be Amavi but fair play. They should compliment each other nicely.
Unless it's a phone call, in which case they might start with voices, or by asking each other what they're wearing.

FFS, we hardly even have to improve to get 13th or so. I can't believe how many are predicting more gloom.
We have, effectively, an entirely new team costing three times as much as the old team.
Yeah, we might be in relegation danger, but that's really at the extreme pessimism end of the scale.

I much prefer the idea of him as a financial weight around Tottingeham's neck. That's probably his best use to us as a club.

they can't even name their team's entire starting 11
To be fair, neither can we.

Can he play at centre back?
Some of the defending in that video was woeful.
Any more?

I kinda get the feeling that we are done for now.
I don't think it's that bad,

We'll definitely finish higher than last season. Not a single doubt in my mind. It won't be much higher, but it'll be higher. And the season after will be higher still.
But it might be much higher. Nobody has any idea. It might be so much higher that we lose four players to bigger clubs. Or it might just be somewhere broadly mid-table of course.

What type of balloon ?Anyone remember when we played Fulham, the ball went up like 30/40 feet in the air - Berbatov just controlled it like a balloon as soon as it came down
Air. No helium or lead
Yeah so it contained air. But what was the balloon itself constructed from?

He certainly looked like he wanted to be playing when he did play. That was one of the things I liked about him.

Too bad. Flags are great. You can learn the letters K, O, U, C, and F from a single photograph.

The colors (sorry Tony) on the label of my new favorite (sorry Tony) lager are claret and blue...
Not sure, but...I think he's trying to say something about the colours on the label of his new favourite lager being claret and blue.

That's not his twitter. He doesn't speak English yet.
An extremely brief tweet, using an unnatural construction (new player of) and a spelling mistake (verry), doesn't prove his ability to speak English.
He's right,, Ghost. In fact, did you know that Lexicon himself is known to not be able to utter a word of spoken English. He speaks only Welsh, in which he converses with his grandmother in the cottage kitchen. That's how I imagine him, anyway. Not sure why. The image is also non nation-specific, so substitute a rare Alpine dialect of Italian if that makes it easier to conjure up.

As far as I remember, the "plaudits" amounted to "Oh my god, for five minutes of that game the Zog played as though he isn't, after all, always and unfailingly a complete and utter waste of a place on the teamsheet (plus ten million pounds and a weekly wage that would keep the average man happy for a year)."
Ah, those heady days.

Looks pretty useful so far but, I'm going to predict he gets sent off before he scores a goal!
I'm going to predict you're wrong, because that's impossible, nurney nur.

...well it does not feel like [the same] team anymore.
ExZACtly. That's what makes it so GREAT!

He even still has a bit of pace when his legs are in working order.

We'll finish somewhere between 5th and 18th.
If we sign a CB we have pretty much an entirely new team, which might work brilliantly or not at all.
(But in order to not behave like a wet blanket, I'll say 9th. Scoring loads but not quite enough, and conceding more than we'd like.)

From what I saw online, I thought he was pretty shit for that 45.
From what I saw online he was shit for about 5 seconds.

If possible, we should also look for CB who is resilient i.e has played a few seasons with no serious injuries.
I'd rather sign an injury-blighted genius like Martin Laursen if there's one around

Played great today.
Agreed.

We should honour his wish to be known as Gana. Who agrees?
