It’s not even July yet. Have some patience.

Can see us letting this marinate for a few weeks, letting the contract situation play out with Arsenal, and if he still hasn’t signed anything come the third week of July or so coming in with a final bid of ~35-38m + add ons.

We've just finished 11th, stepping up to CL qualification won't be happening any time soon, and is more difficult than people think. Look at how much Everton have been spending, and getting nowhere near it.

Everton also don’t have a Jack.  

I’d be surprised if both Alvarez and ESR came in.  Seems like we are hedging our risk a bit.

Would be a welcome veteran addition to a stable and tight knit dressing room.  Gives coverage all over the pitch, and is an infinitely better option than Neil Taylor and Elmo at this stage in their careers.

All I see is that we have Nakamba, Luiz, Sanson, Ramsay, (and Carney if we count him for the senior team only next year) for one position in midfield -- seeing as McGinn is undroppable from Dean's point of view.  Are we going to be able to shift one or two of these players or loan them out? 

I think we will be seeing us switch between 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 quite often.  We’ll need the midfield bodies.

Just for reference, here’s the last starting XI we played before NSWE bought the club.  Incredible how far we have come.
