I'd be okay with selling him in summer if he doesn't sign a new contract, £25-£30m which could be re-invested. TBH selling DL and signing Bissouma AND Bentancur would defo be an upgrade in midfield.
Good luck getting £25m for a player with a contract expiring in a few months.

Btw, what did we all think of this season’s kit? Wasn’t bad at all was it? Much improved from the previous one.
Wouldn’t complain if it was similar but we really must, as others have mentioned, commemorate the 40th anniversary of our European Cup win…
It looked great in “product pics” but not quite the same or as vibrant in “real life”
Previous season’s was quite dull and ugly, cheap looking. Weird sleeves too:
Last season's was great. Season before was hideous.

Telegraph reporting City want him and ready to break PL transfer record to do it.
Will come down to him I reckon, if he wants the move I don’t think the club blocks it.
The club definitely blocks it.
He's not going anyway.

Yes. Jack does lots that sterling doesn't, but he'd kill to have Sterling's goalscoring and assist stats even from last season.
We aren't talking about stats we're talking about finishing. They are not the same thing.
Total number of goals scored means little if it takes Sterling 20 shots to get the ball in the net once vs someone who only needs four or five shots. Man City create much more than us which is obviously going to help Sterling get his total goal numbers up.
Sterling is actually a bad finisher and one of the worst in the PL when it comes to one on ones or hitting it first time.

I never said otherwise.
However, if you play the ball into open space, both Rashford and Sterling will get to that ball more often than Grealish. They are also both better at finishing
With Kane falling deep, Mount, Foden and Grealish prefer the ball in their feet the movement will be worse than if you replace one of the with Sterling or Rashford. And both of them play where Jack is the best, hence why its understandable he is the one benched. I think England would be way better with Grealish, but I understand Southgates reasoning.
Sterling better than Jack at finishing? Lol.

Top six and a cup win would be a brilliant season.
That should be our target.

I live in Southampton and know some connected fans who I will interrogate for info tomorrow.
What I’d like to say is that from my own experience of seeing this lad play football for many years is.. please stop thinking of him as a dead ball specialist, he is better than Luiz and SJM at this moment in time... i think Luiz is potentially better than JWP, wait until Luiz is 26.. JWP is an upgrade on all of our midfield options as we stand today. In my opinion.Do you mean there is more to his game than set pieces? You've worded it as if you think he's not good at free kicks which is insane.

I'm starting to like these guys.

And with El Ghazi and Trez playing supporting roles, we would have a very potent attack in my opinion.
The thought of Ollie feeding off Buendia’s forward balls is very exiting.
Can't wait to see Ollie feed off Buendia's balls <3

This is the kind of tripe that winds me up.
Are you a Jack Grealish fan, or a Villa fan?
Absolutely **** bizarre.
Not " I could see why he would want to go " or " He will probably go " but, he SHOULD go... wtf??!
Absolutely spot on.
We've got some weird people in our support.

Is a reveal date set for the kit?
Asking since some clubs have announced theirs
Not yet but rumoured to be before the end of May.

Sadly impossible. We can't even finish above Leeds.
Not impossible at all next season. Almost did it this year and we will strengthen over the summer. If they've still got Arteta in charge, which they may well do, we could definitely finish above them.

But the star represents our European Cup win, it is a source of pride… what would be the alternative? Nothing?
I love the latest lion design, looks great n makes the old one look really naff. I actually actively avoid anything with the older lion on it, just doesn’t look that great.
I know what it represents. Yes the alternative would be nothing. It looks silly and uneven and it makes us look small time. Anyone who needs to know we won the Cup already knows.

Wolves just partnered with Castore and their shirts for Rangers last year were practically flawless. I could see us doing a lot worse than going that route as well. Guaranteed not to be a lazy template.
Flawless in appearance maybe but the fans were unanimous in their criticism of the quality. Castore are shit. Worse than Macron from what the Rangers fans were saying.

Our badge could be better but I’ve made my peace with it. The change in lion and more distinct shades of yellow and blue helped loads but the Lion could still use some golden darker details added in.
I definitely prefer a shield to a round badge but that may just be because Villa have always had a shield for most of the time I’ve been a fan. As long as it’s a shield with a lion on it I don’t really care.
- Replace AVFC with Aston Villa
- Remove the star
- Put Football Club at the bottom of the crest
I'd be OK with this for media and presentation but on the kits I believe it should be an embroidered lion rampant ala Liverpool's Liverbird and Tottenham's cock.

clearings in the woods who wind up other Villa fans with ITK rubbish should be instantly blocked. One thing doing it to others but Villa fans shouldn't be doing it to each other. The two tweets linked know what they were getting at.
