I think someone needs to sort out the hygiene at Villa!!

IMO we need another cm big time. Westwood /Gueye /Vertout /Sanchez competing for three places. Only takes 1 suspension/injury and we have no option on the bench.

You dont need 3 deepish midfielders every game. Theres more tactics where we can push one of them further forward (gil/grealish), or play 4-4-2

But do any of them paired up convince you that they could control a game? Not sure my self but I do see your point.

He's become a favourite in my household for all the wrong reasons lol! But I still think he will come good, did well when he came on last night, but my big worry is that he is are only other choice in that 3 man mid. I have put this concern on the transfer thread saying that another CM is needed unless we give a youth product a go.

It's been awhile since I have been 100% behind the manager at Villa. Taylor (1st spell) Atkinson,Little,Gregory are the ones for different reasons that I truly enjoyed and supported,with faith and excitement. Not even MON as I never warmed to him (but I do have some good memories of his side)

IMO Sherwood is Atkinson/Little/Gregory all in one! Box office (Atkinson) arms around players (Little) tells it as it is (Gregory) but a bit more to.

For some reason I am 100% behind him, with all the ups and downs that could follow, I believe with the new setup, are Villa can make us smile again.

When I read the press stuff, I just feel like they are so desperate for a big team going down thing, that they make are wins lucky are draws a battle and are defeats as the end is near! With London and Manchester winning the prem each year it's got boring so they hunt for a story! Well not this year (not Villa anyway)

Avenotti,Praet and Traore are doing the rounds again,but with Tim saying the English based thing I'm not to sure. For some reason I think the Praet thing has got legs with the Birmingham Mail story. Traore I would love but Lennon more likely and as for Avenotti well I don't no who he is but his name has come up a lot. From what I have read he is Rudy type player so I gues he was just on the list and we got Rudy instead.

Not the only man bun around now, with Chadli and Blind sporting the same monstrosity. Any other sightings?

Having watched are defence the last 5 years and had tactics to just sit behind the ball I'm surprised that some would turn their noses up at Shawcross. With a fast partner in the middle with him I think he would be a very good signing. We need a leader at the back at a good age and good experience at this level in this league. Not sure there is many others to fit that description!

I don't I think this is going to be the record breaking window for us. Tim said at the end of last season that randy is going to spend and spend big! £50-60m will be my guess,and before anyone says no chance,let me add that will be £15-20m out of Villas/Randys pocket, to try and rebuild and undo all the crap that has happened before, with a staff team that seems to no what they are doing,and guide Randy in the right way to keep this club in the prem and not just scrape through but compete,and to make sure we get the TV money. A concern for me is Sherwood seems to really rate/get on well with Hutton.

Why would that be a concern? Hutton was good for most of last season. He was our best player for the first few months.

Hutton is a 6/7 out of ten per game and the odd lost his head game in their to! But my main concern is Richards as centre back. I'm no expert if I was I would be manager but for me it is so obvious that he will be a liability in that position. I hope I'm wrong. If the Walker rumours are true then I would have mixed emotions about this,because Walker I think is great but that means Richards is definitely CB

His potential arrival really has divided the fans opinions on here. I can see both side of the argument and somehow I agree with both

I like the look of this one,reminds me of N.dyer but from what I've seen the next level up. If we play with the 3 up top then they all need to be accomplished in their positions unlike gabby/Andy! They all need to chip in so like others have said with this guy and Sinclair plus a centre forward not bad and the option of Grealish/ Gil to mix things up very excited, a hard working team with flair that's all we want!

I think he spoke before both transfers and made his feelings known, and now they have left/leaving their is nothing more to add other than maybe a john Gregory statement! Instead he's got his head into the game of transfers and been professional.

If Adebayor signs he'll come straight into the first team. We need guaranteed goals and he's probably our best bet. If we can sign him alongside someone like Embolo, Martial or Ouclare, then we'll have done well.

Lots of talk on how much we spend! For me that's not the issue its who we get in! Better players by rule mean more money yes but not all of the time(Gil,Benteke etc) the 'Dortmund or Southampton' way is the only way we can build to get us back to the top end! We have got rid of a lot of dead wood but if we look at the main three that have gone(going) vlaar delph Benteke! We have made a profit and if we done things properly (not letting contracts run down) we could of made more! Then we reinvest! For me this is a new start, any of the players that go in this window I don't care coz they have been so terrible for so long! A new Aston Villa! I believe we have the right people to do just that!
