  1. Not looking promising: http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/06/08/ron-vlaar-i-think-i-can-go-a-step-higher-than-aston-villa/page/1/

Ron Vlaar has today been offered a new contract with Villa, but he has told Voetbal International that he wants to maximise his career, in the belief he can go one step higher.

The Dutch centre-back said: “I have in consideration [a new deal], I think about it. I want to maximize my career and think I can go a step higher. I will look at it [before deciding].”

These are certainly disappointing words for Villa fans to hear, with it sounding as if Vlaar is certainly keen on looking for a move away.

Charming. He thinks too highly of himself.

  2. I hope its not Tony Adams crew

Given that the 'frontrunners' signed exclusivity and a non-disclosure agreement, I wouldn't think so.

The Tony Adams crew went public in an attempt to find more investors, so a non disclosure agreement would've been pointless if it was them.

  3. Likely Sherwood will stay by the looks if things.

Have to see how it pans out in the next few weeks. One thing is clear, nobody has a clue which of the 3 parties is the "frontrunner" so it's likely Nursery is guessing as usual, but he could be right.

Then again, he said that Clark could go to WBA this summer...... :crylaugh:

  4. he does enough he'll play against Burnley which hints we'll put out a scratch side against them as long as we're safe and Burnley don't have anything to play for either.

Good Idea tbf, rest the key players for the FA cup and experiment with new players and give then some experience.

    Another reason to beat Southampton.

  5. Hello Villa Fans!

My first match was one of fond memories, as my uncle who had a season ticket at the time, offered to take me to watch the Villa.Being a local Brummie I was excited to go at the tender age of 7, I couldn't refuse. I remember my first match was against Chelsea, and I managed to spill my drink down the guys in front after we scored. Not so good.

While the club's fortunes have changed, I am as passionate about Villa as I was 10 years ago. The future of our club hangs in the balance on the outcome of this season, leading to an entertaining but equally stressful time.

I love Villa and I am both excited and fearful for our future.

Regardless, I wish to talk to those who too, share my love for the Claret and Blue.
