Glad we came from a goal down to win as needed to put that stat to bed, also it's a game we wouldn't have scored in previously having seen it so often at the Villa for years.

Unai keep up the good work.

Too soon for a start on Sunday but will come on at some stage, hopefully when we are 2-1 up and he scores in front of the Villa fans after a 60yard mazy run.

Working hard as always and good to see he's getting assists. Just needs to get off the mark (which I think he will do against Hibs) then he'll be away like the back end of last season.

Obviously looking forward to the Hibs game and tipping the lads off to the kind of welcome an English team can expect up in Scotland.

Glad we scored the pen and it was well taken so assume Doug will be on the next one if playing.

Unlucky not to score on his home debut, he looks as though he can score or assist every time he runs at goal.

Class player who fits Unai playing out from the back more than our other CB's. Once he's up with the pace a bit more he'll be some player for us.

Brilliant from SJM today, really pleased he got his goal and MOTM.

No panic from Unai after last week, just set the tone with his response and then got on with setting the team up against Everton.

We have a great manager who has top level experience around Europe who is willing to give his all for Aston Villa.

Bad results happen in any sport it's how you respond that matters and yesterday was a good response.

You could see Unai wanted more from the players at certain stages of the game that's because he's driving them to improve all the time.

Stick with him Villa fans because he's taking us to places we haven't been to for quite some time.

Great reply after last week. The team can settle into some kind of rhythm now after last week's last minute disruption.

Some nice play that could have given us a few more goals but back to 0 GD which is a good effort after last Saturday.

SJM captains performance and good to see him score at home again, onwards and upwards with a nice trip home for him on Wednesday.

This guy is a one man attacking machine, he never stops. He made trippier who's having a great season look average.

Not only that but his decision making when he gets in and around the box is superb. Would love Unai to get a similar player for the right side next season with Ash as back up for another year.

Gotta say it sounded brilliant on the Optus channel I was watching. Ollie hitting the post in the first minute set the tone and from that moment onwards Villa Park was rocking.

He's in the best form ever in all his time in the premier league and it shows his character that he's come back after Stevie Me's disaster with the captaincy situation.

Meatball is back and don't we all know and love it.

It feels like right time right place as far as Unai and Villa are concerned as Andy Townsend would say it really does. He's got the players ticking, the fans believing and the opposition running scared. Bit of luck with our results and that of the team's around us who knows what will happen. Either way next season should be an absolute cracker.

Late to add my bit due to a really busy four days so voted and left it at that. Everything we could all hope for before the game can to fruition. 

The crowd and players were up for it, the managers always up for it, we scored three and could have scored six. So yeah everything Out By Easter said in his excellent report made this game the best of the season so far, I say so far as I think we can match this game or even surpass it with the focus Unai and the players have. I'm loving watching us play again and it's making the early morning K.O's here in Oz a joy rather than something easy to avoid. 

Good luck to him hope he keeps them up and who knows after that

An independent VAR would fix that. 

I know it's a different game but cricket review system often overrule the onfield umpires as they get to see the action again and call it as it is with no backlash on the two onfield umpires.

He means business and due to his ordeal with Arsenal I think he's still holding something back. But he hasn't had a **** everyone atmosphere at Villa Park get when everyone comes together as one, maybe this will be on Saturday?

Yep get him in the squad with Ollie and Durian, can always play him as a winger with his pace and eye for goal.

Not the best game but like most have said three games in a week with the same players took it's toll. Still good enough for the win with Ollie continuing

Great win hopefully follow it up with another away win on Tuesday. Only negative Kamara injury.

As the farther in law will be in Oz for some winter sun for this match a few of us are going to the CAS to watch the game. If any other Perth based lions fancy meeting up let me know. Last year I was the only person in there with a Villa top on
