People have lost their heads. Leicester is a superb team who can legitimately chase the title. I never thought we would win this one, but steady, muckers ...
Yeah, and Chelsea have a legitimate chance of being relegated as well.
-
Ironically, this is the one fixture of the season (besides WBA) where Gabby would probably be useful.
That being said I still don't want to see him in the side.
-
Bournemouth 4-0 up at Hartlepool and we can't outplay bloody Notts County at home.
Bournemouth actually play football.
-
Grealish needs to start simply because I picked him in my fantasy league and refuse to drop him.
-
Considering we now have creative, intelligent attacking threats (Traore, Gil, Grealish, Sinclair), I struggle to see where Gabby would fit.
Hopefully, once those lads are match fit, he'll be used properly as an impact substitute and WBA demolisher.

Darder would be brilliant.

Hopefully he comes off the bench and scores the winner!

FM is real life damnit!
A guy called Charlie Austin meets all those requirements. Proven premiership goalscorer who will guarantee goals. In before the VT hipsters who have never even seen these players play other then on football manager name Embolo, etc.I honestly think the squad looks ok now. I think Bacuna and Hutton are fine for right back at the moment, and we have 4 decent centre-halves.
If we have say £15-20m left, I would love us go make a marquee signing. We've bought alot of players who will potentially be great, but it would be fantastic to buy someone who is already the finished article, who can be the figurehead for the team and push us to the next level. Ideally we need a striker who will score us 15 goals in the league...
Embolo > Austin
And I've never played Football Manager in my life.

We've got to have one of the fastest squads in the league now you would have thought.
Should make us a popular choice in FIFA.

Just need to axe a bit more of the deadwood and this window will be an overwhelming success.
Well done Villa.
-
Jack on the left, Gil through the middle, Traore on the right..
-
I heard from very reliable voices in my head that this deal is done and will be announced today.

Ashley Young is going to roast us all day long on the left wing.
Praying that we can score a few and manage a draw.

You could argue that GIL, traore (if signs), ayew, gabby all play in a similar position. Not to mention the fact we are still being linked with similar type players too.
Also he spent the summer getting smashed out of his tree.
I think it's more than reasonable to debate whether he's going to feature as heavily as we originally thought.
What exactly are we supposed to have forgotten from our short memories like?
I would argue that none of those players play in a similar position to Jack with the exception of Traore who clearly favors the right.
It's also unfair to say that he spent the summer, "getting smashed out of his tree."
-
He's not one of our best players yet, calm down.
I respectfully disagree.
-
Yeah, let's loan out one of our best players in one of our most crucial seasons in recent memory. Good idea.

Sign him up and loan him out. He can get regular games at the likes of Stoke or West Brom and then can maybe get a look in at Villa Park a few seasons down the line if he develops well enough. If not and we're still too well stocked in that position then flog him on to the likes of Swansea or Liverpool for £15-20m without him ever playing a game for us.
Stoke and West Brom are not comparable anymore.
-
He'll play 30 games this year if he's fit. We've not really bought a player who's a natural down the left of a three.
Grealish?
-
So far this window Robbie Brady £7m, now it's looking like Connor wickham £9m
He won't ever leave but we'd comfortably get £8-10m for him if he changed his mind
I'm sorry but this really made me laugh.
Why? Look at the market, wickhams scoring record is worse than gabbys he's going for £9m, Rhodes is going for £14m, relegated hull are flogging players for £7-8m not to mention buying Hernandez for £10m
Well, Wickham is 22 for starters. Rhodes has a significantly better scoring record, granted he plays in the Championship, but he's also a few years younger.
I think we would be lucky to get £3m for Gabby.
-
My money is on him being top scorer for us this season. I think he will be a monster.
I second that. I have a sneaking suspicion that he may prove to be our signing of this window.
I think it'll be Amavi but fair play. They should compliment each other nicely.
-
Yep. I really don't want to know anything about how he's doing for Liverpool only because I know he'll do really well and it'll piss me off. Obviously I won't miss everything but I'll look away as much as I can.I might have to just pretend he never played for Villa. Nothing good can come from remembering he was ours
Cheer up! He'll only be at Liverpool for a year or two, then he'll move to a Champions League side.

Brilliant news. Hopefully our future captain.

Really don't see many goals in this one. Hoping for a 1-0 Villa win to get some confidence back. Lescott header ftw anyone?
