  1. i think our nicest jersey was in the mid 90s, vertical striped muller one. in fact i bought one in the villa shop in birmingham when i was over for the southampton game, even got saunders 9 on the back ; )

  2. bit random but when this team was assembled we would have thought this was our best team

                       guzan

    hutton    richards clarke    amavi

    traore/gil  gana  sanchez  grealish

            gestede  ayew

now its something like this when all fit

                   bunn

    richards okore lescott amavi

             gana  westwood

          traore  vertout  gil

                 ayew

dont think we ever got close to playing either team either due to injury and poor team selctions and players having crap form

the second team woud win 2-1 ha

  3.                               bunn

               richards okore lescott cissokho

             nzogbia gana westwood richardson

                             gabby kozak

    sure why not

  4. id say in 1993. (i was 7) my dad and brother tell me i must pick a team to follow. villa had the irish connection, townsend, houghton, mc grath and staunton so that was one of the main reasons i  picked them. 2 throphies in the following years, but its been going downhill ever since

  5. havent been his biggest fan the last while but thinking about it now id try him ahead of gestede and sinclair definately. worth a shot playing with ayew upfront?

bring him on for kozak in a few games so how is form is first

    Gana?

because with him and vertout in midfield (grealish and gil also) we are very lightweight and i rate vertout more.

had a few good games and showed promise but hasnt really moved on from that.

might get a sale to a french team and he said he always wanted to use as a stepping stone, not a good mindframe for next season

someone like cambiasso in the last summer window might have been a better option

  7. i would like to see us get rid of gabby, sinclair, sanchez, gestede, nzogbia and mabye even gana an surely that would get us 15-20 million and 200 k a week on wages less.

surely that would make room for 4 decent players even if we had to put a measely 5-10 million with it, 2 strikers a boss in midfield, either a keeper or centre back or both

in an ideal world where i had the power ha

That's not how that position works. There's a reason neither of those two have played in the defensive midfield role before and it's because they're positionally awful.

It's just not going to happen and it's a ridiculously naive suggestion - I don't know why I'm even bothering to humour you here.

im sure they can learn or be thought better positioning, is it a naive as playing a right back in the middle? or a midfielder at right/left back?

it was a suggestion i dont know whats with your attitude, should stay off forums if you dont want to humour people.

We already play players out of position, good idea to add another one to the mix especially one who is so rubbish in his preferred position .

our main out of position players are bacuna and richards anyway so wouldnt realy be adding much to the mix

Two people who are positionally poor to come in to replace a seasoned international, great plan.

well going on form that seasoned international isnt up to it and bacuna is playing well and richards would have more freedom to roam as hes not the last man back. both can also defend, it would be like having a 3rd centre half in defence and in attack both are good going forward, better then current options anyway

  11. why do they always seem to do the wrong thing? the pass is on but they hang on 2 or 3 seconds too long, when they should run it they pass in 15 yards in the wrong direction. people like gana and sinclair have no touch on them.gestede is a statue, richardson half heartedly passes the ball and hes lucky it makes it to reciever half the time.ayew and gil were only positives

Nice car that Civic.  You say the Evo has 'beaten' you.  In what way?  Financially I assume?  Insurance? Maintenance?  They've stupidly low service intervals don't they?  Like 3,000 miles or something mental like that.

yeah financially, knew it would need work and had put a few hundred into it and then the balance belt snapped. i had the timing belt kit including balance belt waiting to be fitted but the garage was booked up a week ahead. the belt snapped and wrapped around the timing belt which knocked out the timing and damaged valves. need a head rebuild including new head gasket and timing belt. cost about 1500. after all that it stil failed the nct and needed about another 400 to get through it.i had enough though and got a straight swop for the civic.

insurance premiums going up in ireland too on cars older then 15 years old so said id get out when i could. completely unlucky with the belt sitting there waiting to be fitted.

they are a money pit and servicing is recommended that often and with the ayc (active yaw control) you must stay on top if it
