Cissokho does have an error in him, as does every player but, he does at least know what a left back's primary job is, while Amavi on the other hand, seems to believe that his primary job is to attack. That and that alone makes Amavi a non-starter for me. Late on in a game we were chasing, I'd use him as a sub.
With two wing-backs bombing on upfield, we'd need to play two DM's to cover their absence or, a three-man back line with a DM.
all i can go by is what ive seen of them both. they seem fairly equal in terms of defending to me. both have their moments where they do well and both have had 1 or 2 slip ups. amavi is better going forward. maye the plan is to play with attacking fiull backs, hence the 2 defence midfielders, be it jedinak tishibola or westwood.
you have a different opinion and thats fine by me

Why would you think that Ritchie k?
Couldn't be because I voice an opinion that differs from the majority could it?
i never said that. but what you did say is why put amavi as a starting left back? cos he has limitations in defending. cissokho certainly isnt much better as he has as many mistakes as him.
so we play with no left back??

Why on earth would you make Amavi your first choice left back?
I'll admit the kid looks decent going forward but, he has as much idea about defending, as I do about quantum physics.
or football for that matter reading your posts : )

No Grealish in your starting teams?! He's been one of our best players in the 4 of our 5 games that I've watched this season.
Put Ayew up top and Grealish in his place. Does seem like we are after another striker and attacking mid so we will have options but I wouldn't be bothered if we were able to play either of those teams for the whole season. Not that we will be able to.
i think grelish is more of a number 10 but he isnt better then ayew, yet anyway. with injuries ans suspensions up front he will definately play but imo not ahead of ayew, ross or our new superstar

Martinez had great scoring records for 13/14 and 14/15, scoring a goal every game and a half. In 15/16 he's scored a goal every six games. At 29 years of age, it looks like he's way past his best.
mabye something to do with the teams he played for and the countries they are in during those years.
-
mabye palying next to jedinak might benefit him as he was a bit lightweight
-
so give them traore back and the 17 million we were going to pay for diawara and take neymar? : )

2-1 win for us
-
didnt barcelona have some buy back clause?
-
captains and free kick takers evrywhere

good man tony, thank you

55k per week is the going rate. he was probably on that with palace.if we want to pay peoiple 20k per week we wont be getting decent signings. our wage bill had dropped hugely after losing guzan nzogbia richardson and mabye gabby and lescott and at this amount he would be probably our highest earner so id imagine it hasnt broke the bank

regarding fitness, i doubt it would take a 19 year old 2 or 3 months to get fit.unless hes 2 stone overweight and hasnt played in a year.
some of the negativity on here is so unnecessary sometimes. people just love drama instead of being positive. its the same handfull of people too always
