I reckon he’d do about the same as he did at Arsenal.

Emery is better when he has a squad of humble players who are patient enough and willing to buy into his methods and meticulous level of detail.

He seems to struggle managing a squad of big egos. All his success in his career has come with sides that finish around 4-8th.

Fair point but even that was 5th place and a Europa league final.  I guess Ten Hag’s first season wasn’t too bad either though.

Really liked watching Haraldsson, he found pockets of space beyond our midfield nicely and on another night could've had a couple of assists.

Only 20 and Lille signed him for around 10m from Copenhagen last summer so guess he's already in 30-40m bracket but would be an interesting one to target I think.

    Agree. Really stood out.

I’m pretty excited about tomorrow. It’s a good time to play the gutters.

It is but it’s unfortunately a good time to play us too.  Need to try and frustrate them and play on the break. Similar to how Porto did.

I think we have a better squad and deservedly are above them.  Additionally with Unai makes us a top4 team, I really don’t think they are better squad wise than a top 8/10 team.

Many including yourself said this about our squad until Unai took over.

I used to doubt what a top manager can do until I saw it with my own eyes.

  5. Our fans really sound like a bunch of losers on this thread. Should be talking about Spurs and us and how we get top 4. Instead we’re talking about who’s going to catch us.

Hopefully fan mentality can change one day.

They'll get 3 for sure, they're home to Burnley and Sheffield United, away to Palace in their next 3 games. Then they have Arsenal, Newcastle and Brighton. I think they'll get 4 wins from the remaining games and maybe a draw and a loss. So 13 points. Which means we need a win to be clear of them on GD most likely.

It's really down to next weeks European fixtures. WE need Liverpool and West Ham to get some points at least while going out.

Genuine question. Do you watch football ? United have 6 points from their last 6 games but are going to get 13 from the next 6 ?

    Absolutely not!

With the amount they've spent they should be, with who they've bought it's no surprise they're not, their squad building has been terrible

If Unai can have us challenging 4th he could have them challenging for title in my opinion.  Wouldn’t have believed this until I’ve seen what he’s done with our squad.

Unless missed some sarcasm, United have no right to be challenging top 6

I personally think United have very good players. Just a clueless manager and coaching staff.  Nearly most our team was wrote off at some point in the past. Imagine what Unai could do with Uniteds squad.

On budgets though, Man. United should be 30 points clear which was the case last season.

Bournemouth also didn't win in their first 9 prem games and looked every inch a relegation team in the first three months.

Yeh took the new manager a while to get going. United with the players they have should be challenging for the title. Hopefully they stick with Ten Hag who is clearly out of his depth.

We have 5th but it’s all about 4th now. It’s the injuries and suspensions that are our undoing. So frustrating.

What if anything watching Man. United every week is giving you any indication they'll win many games at all (They're not playing us six times in the run in).

They are a complete myth (if you just read this thread which seems to have massive hang ups about them). If Bournemouth win this game they're only 5 points off Man. United and that's the reality, with six games left of this season there really isn't much gulf between Man. United and Bournemouth based on performances this season.

I think that’s a bit of a disservice to Bournemouth who are a very well coached team. Impressed me a lot this season.

Do people think we have Gerrard back in charge or something?

The amount of disrespect shown to the Don in here is shocking, what evidence so far makes you think we'll lose the majority of our games remaining?

Disrespect to the manager and the squad that have worked their asses off to get in this position.

Without wanting to ruin it for everyone, there's a reason why everyone can get a pint in the LH, and I'm quite sure it's costing the club a lot of money.

Yeh I heard about how much of a shambles that is in terms of the club making money. Sounds great for fans though.

Why miss ten to fifteen minutes for a pint?  Surely the game is more important than a half time pint? I’d rather miss the pint than the game.

Certainly an area any redevelopment need to improve in regards to service but if the service isn’t there surely better to miss out on the pint?

Yeh that’s my problem and a different one. But the point ain’t the pint.

Edit: can still watch the game on the screens although there’s a slight delay.
