    Just saw this on twitter.com...

Everyone seems to be guessing at who the guy with the 'man bun' might be, but guy on the right looks like Mitrovic to me... Although I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Dale Stephens has just been let out of the basement.

watching how both Liverpool & Wolves payers harry, close down, always someone looking for the ball, forwards track back, always triangles and passes on, shows just how far below par we are, and just how critical it is we get 2-3 quality signings in Jan.

Or how vital to get our basics right. I think the players we have can do much better but agree some strength and potency is required.

Premier League quality, yet ended up at Copenhagen on a free.

Surely if he was as good as you say, a number of PL players would have snapped him up on a free transfer.

He plays upfront now after that finish against Luton, dunno why we bought Kodjia really.

  4. I feel he is not a fighter. I want him to do well but felt attitude isn't right.

Personally, I do not think he has the 'we' must win. It feels to me as if 'he loses' if he does score or be the hero.

The team and the fans don't need that.

    Bizarre signing XI

    ------------------Steer------------------

    Beye--Senderos*--Crespo--Stevens

    Tonev---Salifou---Makoun--Dawkins

    ----------Bowery---Helenius----------

*In fairness, Senderos was decent in the few games he played.

I liked Senderos and Helenius, shame neither pants out, I mean panned out. Also felt Makoun could play.

  6. I think we are struggling to get the right type of player for the club based on price, market, whether they are available and our position.

Other issues, as mentioned before, are more than likely some mentality issues. Players adapting to new systems, circumstance etc. It just takes one not to pull in the same direction to cause issues.

I reckon the TD thing is just clarifying target appropriateness, Moyes always took ages to sign players as he had to meet them and discuss. If Round is our new TD maybe he and RDM have done the same?

  7. Did he not square it for Grealish later in the match when it was 1-0 and could have put the game to bed, or at least really taken the wind out of their sails.

I wanted him to really convince me of his ability and application this season.

He was bought as a winger though from what I remember. He wasn't good enough as either a fullback or winger in the Premier League, but I think he could be in the Championship.

I remember he was wanting to emulate Lampard as a box to box midfielder...  he's a funny lad. But could be useful in rotation in midfield throughout the season and as RB cover.

If he's that good why do Southampton want shot of him? Genuine question, they lost Pelle in the summer and Jay Rodriguez is another one that suffers with injuries. They don't have an abundance of strikers yet Austin Is being kept out of the team by Nathan Redmond who doesnt normally play upfront???

You mean Nathan 'Thierry Henry' Redmond....

Odd how trends in football go, wingers to strikers, strikers to wide forwads, false 9s, multiple no.10s......

I like the formation mentioned above with two centre backs, a sweeper keeper and wing back strikers.
