Last night i bumped into someone I'd not seen for about 20yrs, and the very first thing out of her mouth was 'bloody hell you've put some weight on'

Yeah cheers for that love, I'd missed the small objects orbiting around my waistline. I wonder why we never stayed in touch.

tell her she's put weight on since you last saw her.my mate does that all the time, shuts em up

Has anybody ever used their car's glove compartment to store gloves?

    me.

in the early 70's my dad used to keep his, mine and my brothers gloves in his Vauxhall victors glove compartment on the way to the game.he didn't want us to mark the light blue seats.

  4. Daniel Crowley.

putting this here as he's on loan at oxford and just watched them on the tv.i've been working with a cov fan this week.one of his friends is an oxford fan with an exec box there.apparently his attitude In training/generally is pish.he's lazy as ****,so Appleton won't even put him on the bench when enough players are fit.what a waste.hopefully he gets his act together as when he plays for oxford(mainly due to injuries/suspensions),he's the mom by far.

In a story about homelessness in Birmingham, here, the following sentence may be worth highlighting:

As a society, we are allowing a situation to exist where our government has cut back funding for affordable housing and support to the point where we recognise we don't provide for people, and the duty of care has been reduced to looking for the corpses that are the predictable consequence of this policy.  Meanwhile the richest see their wealth inflate to previously unknown levels.

There is no political, economic, or moral justification for allowing this to happen.  It is entirely avoidable, and it is a matter of political choice.

    Let's make a different choice.

this week I've been working at night as it's easier for the client.i'm banned from driving(speeding:bang:),so I've been using public transport which means I've been in the city centre all week at night/early morning.seeing all the people sleeping rough in doorways shocked me as I never realised there were so many.disgraceful that a country with our resources has this many homeless.
