Brilliant to get the 3 points, fans were great today. Let's keep it going!! @AVFCOfficial #UTV #PS14
He still looks sad.
Probably gutted that it wasn't a clean sheet. Go on big Phil.

I hate those bits of skin by the side of your fingernails, I always pull them and they always bleed, and I never learn.

Agreed, seems like a quality player! Good work Aly!

Maybe I'm off the mark here, but I didn't think the Premiership had a foreign players/non-EU limit? I just thought there was a homegrown minimum.
Not an expert but isn't it because there is a homegrown minimum and an overall squad size maximum, so it means there sort of is a foreign player limit, although not explicitly set? Could be wrong, that's just my interpretation.

Cleverly, Salah, Delph, N'Zog, Cole, Grealish, Sanchez, Westy, Richardson, Bacuna, ...our midfield would be miles stronger than last year.

Got some decent results last year against the big boys, and we've got a better squad this year. I don't think we'll win every game, but I think we'll do better than many, certainly some parts of the media, expect.
I reckon:
Liverpool - narrow loss, they have played very well so far
Arsenal - win, I reckon we can shut them out and get a cheeky goal, maybe a 1-0.
Chelsea - loss, very good side, defensively a bit shaky but can't argue with the attack, costa is frightening
Man City - draw, good side but have some chinks in heir armour, I think we'll draw
Everton - win, they're good, and Martinez is a clever manager, but I've just got a good feeling about this one.
If we got 7 points I'd be thrilled with that!

Is the deadline tomorrow?
Closes 11pm 1st September, so we'll know what's happening/not by tomorrow night.

Good luck KEA, you weren't ever the best player on the pitch, but you were often the one trying the hardest.

Would be our best signing from ManUre....
... since our last one: Djemba Djemba
So good they named him twice...
-
I'd like him here, I think the money seems a lot, but like Trent said, it's just wild rumour mongering by the media.
-
Thanks Trent.
There are loads of 'ITKs' on twitter all spouting the same stuff; that a 8mil deal has been agreed. And strangely I think one man utd fan seemed to joke that PL was having a brain scan, presumably because they think it's such a great deal for them, and a few others are now saying that an assessment of TC's mental state will take place. I assume this is either because they're copying or also joking. Just shows what a load of Chinese whispers goes on on twitter, very hard to pick any facts out at all.

We need confirmation from Daz.
Ahaha! Then we'll know for sure!

Has Trent said anything yet?

Not sure about Cleverley, Fergie must have seen something in him for put him in the first team, and he did do well at Wigan. If it comes off, I'd love him to be great. Who knows. 8mil seems like a lot though. When was the last time we signed a man utd player? Could it be Mr. McGrath!?
I believe our only two signings from United since the beginning of the Premiership are Ronny Johnson and Eric Djemba-Djemba.
Bardsley on loan from Man U?
Ahh you are correct, I was only thinking of permanent ones.
Of course, well remembered. I got all excited thinking about Big Paul. Of the others Johnson was ok, but that's about it.
I think 8mil could buy a more proven AM from Europe, but if TC (tom cleverley not top cat) comes in and does the bizniz then it's all good.

They're such w##keys!
I.had a scan through that forum and it made my blood boil. They really are w##kers of the highest degree. We maybe having a troubled few years but we're still one of the finest football clubs in the country. And despite are European wilderness the last few years are still held in high regard on the continentCleverley needs to avoid Aston Villa like a plague. He has his faults, but Villa are the least ambitious club in the league.

Sad but probably true.
Beat me with the edit

Just curious; if we had an offer for Hutton this week, would you want the club to take it?
If you had asked me this most of the summer I'd have wanted the club to snatch their hands off. But now, I'm not sure. He's played very well so far, and seems a step up from both Lowton and Bacuna. We'd be effectively selling our first choice right back.
-
Trouble is as we know too well they both struggle badly on cornersI reckon we tart up baker and clark, make them go stand on a street corner near carrington
At least we know they both suck.
-
When the transfer was mentioned I thought he'd be a bit ropey, based on his age, and based on how he'd played in the Fulham defence in the last season or so.
I don't see any harm in having one opinion and then accepting you are wrong when things seem to go the other way.
I'm happy I was wrong as he seems to have gelled really well with Vlaar, and it's nice to not have my heart in my mouth when the opposition attacks (although I still do a little!). Last year we got some great results, although seldom few of these came with a 'performance', but against stoke and to a certain extent (at least defensively) against Newcastle we looked better and Senderos was a big part of that.

Wellbeck on loan?
That would be amazing, but I can't see us having the cash for an extra forward, obviously it would be great but I think it's unlikely.
-
Seriously?I've never heard of Metalist Kharkiv, or the player... Maybe someone can fill in the Blanco's.
I've no idea if he'd be good enough, if the fee is small and wages low then there isn't much risk. You'd have to think though a player that (on stats at least) seems average in the Ukrainan league might not be up to PL standard. Has played for Argentina, but not since 2010 as far as I can see. Might be great, might be poor, probably somewhere in between.
Seriously! Obv heard of Kiev and Shaktar, but not Metalist. I'm embarrassed by my poor knowledge of the Ukrainian Premier league, but I really have never been that interested in the UPL.
-
Sounds really good, if he can sort us out a £100mil kit deal that would be pretty sweet (actually have no idea how much the macron deal was worth).
Am I being too hopeful to think that this potentially hints at signs of a takeover coming soon? If the buyer is American and knows Fox, it could be a stipulation of the sale; get x and y on board and I'm in. But maybe I am being too hopeful!
Edit: Mantis already mentioned a point similar to this.
-
Agree with the above in that it's unlikely and is probably a connection pre-Cissokho.
Plus, who's he kidding with the dyed black hair, he's played in the PL for years with red hair, we all know he's got red hair.

Good, but sounds like someone who molests parrots.
What about Senderock...
