  1. If we get ripped apart by Blackburn, he'll be gone.  If we skate a draw or narrowly lose to them and do the same with Rotherham, he'll be gone.

My fear is that we'll pick up 4-6 points instead, because the broken clock that is "Bruceball" is right twice a day, and we'll be stuck with him for several more months.

  2. Not getting too excited about this guy...  I got excited about Tom Fox, who had a similar background in the business world and at another big club, getting Arsenal bumper sponsorship deals.  I got excited about Keith Wyness, who had experience at other large clubs and seemed to talk the talk and walk the walk when he arrived here.  Disappointment and Villa go hand in hand, so I'm going to take a new approach with everything...  Have no expectations and you can't be disappointed.

As impressive as Purslow's commentary on Sky has been, Liverpool fans have nothing good to say about him.  They saw him as a silver-tongued snake who masterminded shoving Benitez out of the club and replacing him with the footballing genius of Roy Hodgson.  I'll wait and see, but some of the things he preaches in a lot of the videos I've watched with his commentary about Arsenal/Wenger and Liverpool/Klopp don't at all match up with what he did at Liverpool when he had the reins.  Then again, most of our fans would tell anyone who hired Tom Fox as their chairman that he is clueless idiot who helped get us relegated with the whole Sherwood/Reilly situation, when to be fair, Lerner made that job a poisoned chalice for anyone to take on to begin with.

  3. Rodgers???  Did anyone watch that awful Being Liverpool series their club put out themselves?  Rodgers looks even more clueless than Bruce does, even with the club having Final Cut...  Look at this amazing team talk...  He's Mike Bassett Personified...  I don't want this clown anywhere near our club.

Jedinak at CB (aside in emergencies) is a sackable offence in itself.

Especially when you play one of our 3 Center Halves at RB, the one position where we have any sort of depth in defense...  I'm speechless.  I'm glad we got the win, but we could have easily lost that on another day.

  5. What a player...  He is tenacious, can pass, can tackle, is fantastic with a dead ball, and has a never give up attitude...  He's going to be a star.  Fantastic debut.

  6. I don't get why everyone is worked up over his comments.  He was asked a question about his future, considering he'll be in the last year of his contract this summer and our future in the Premier League is up in the air at the moment.  I thought he answered the question honestly - he doesn't know what will happen, but the club hasn't offered him an extension and he has ambitions as a player to play at the highest level he can.   Nothing wrong with that.  Keep in mind, this was an interview in Danish, and some rag has translated to English, probably poorly and out of context to try to stir up some headlines.

Joras has been nothing but a stand up professional during his time at Villa.  He has given his all on the pitch, and has managed to depose our captain from his position based on his solid performances.  He has always been great to the fans, and IMO, has been our best central defender since Laursen retired.  I can see someone like Southampton or Everton coming in for him this summer, whether or not we stay in the Premier League.  From there, it will be all down to Remi convincing him that he wants him to stay and Hollis & Co. to make him a competitive contract offer.

  7. He showed today what he can do if players in front of him make runs and move around off the ball.  Yet another assist for the lad, his 4th since Garde arrived.  He reminds me of a younger Jimmy Milner with his tireless workrate, vision, and strong technical ability.  I hope we hold onto him next season.

  8. Aside from the Man City match, he's been our best player of 2016 so far.  Gana is much better in the defensive midfielder role than any of our other players.  He's stronger than Westwood, better on the ball than Sanchez, and has an outstanding work rate to boot.  Lescott and Okore have been getting a lot of praise for their defensive heroics lately, but Gana has played a large part in breaking up the opposition's attacks before they even start.  If he sees out the remainder of the season playing like this, someone bigger than us will come in for him this summer.

another big goal for us. After Yorke and Benteke he is probably our most crucial striker in last 20 years or so

Unfortunately, Gabby is a huge reason why we're bottom of the table and pretty much doomed to relegation. He hasn't scored in the double digits in five seasons, and he just scored his first in eleven months.  Even if he starts banging them in like Jamie Vardy to close this season out and keep us up, I still want him to be the first player out the door this summer.

  10. He looked completely lost against Bournemouth, like he didn't know his role or what he was supposed to do. It might have been nerves, miscommunication because of the language barrier, or the off field issues that have been emerging recently. That said, I didn't think he looked that bad against Manure and he certainly looked better than Gabby. He was just as exhausted as everyone else in the team by the 70th minute but he was still getting on the ball and trying to make something work. I have faith. Once he settles, he'll be great.

  11. useless, you do realise that there was never any Cavani or Berahino links, right? Why are you pretending that there was?

Ok, we were linked with Cavani but that was back when O'Neill was here.

I was pretty much the first person to dismiss the Cavani link. As for Berahino I know there wasn't a link in the media but i thought he might be someone we'd be interested in, but since Trent has said that we won't be spending £20M after sales I guess it's pretty unlikely.

I'm still fairly new here, so this is a legit question...

Is useless serious or is he trolling hard here?

  12. Guys, this is SUNDERLAND we're playing...  SUNDERLAND, FFS!!!  That lineup will still score against their shit defense...  You all are some of the most miserable depressing pessimists I've ever seen...  You're probably all joys to be around at parties.

  13. It's obviously 4-3-3

    Guzan

    Hutton - Richards - Clark - Amavi

    Westwood - Sanchez - Gana

    Bacuna - Gestede - Sinclair

I don't know how you'd get 4-4-2 with 3 central midfielders.  Also 5-3-2 at home against Sunderland?  Even with a few tactical blunders so far this season, Sherwood can't be that daft...
