  1. Really poor year for me.  I'd probably go XCOM 2, Dark Souls III and Witcher 3 Blood & Wine but even those don't feel like real GoTY contenders compared to previous years. A few indie games I've played have really struggled to feel original and interesting too.

KOTOR - this would be number one probably if I hadn't played it so late. I played it in 2014 so the graphics and game play were awful but the story, characters and plot twists were amazing. As a massive SW fan this game is near perfect.

Good shout. By far the best Star Wars game ever made. There have been a fair few good ones too. X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and Dark Forces 2 being incredible too.

  3. Talking of Wonder Boy. This is one of the best games ever made. Probably because it's the first game I played which is now known as a Metroidvania style game where you would have to revisit old areas after unlocking certain skills. I'd genuinely like to see a really well made remake of it.

  4. Just off the top of my head.

    - Goldeneye (N64)

    - Command & Conquer / Red Alert (PC)

    - Street Fighter 2 (SNES)

    - Dark Souls (PS3)

    - Sega Rally (Saturn)

    - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PC)

    - Panzer Dragoon Saga (Saturn)

    - Shining the Holy Arc (Saturn)

    - Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC)

    - Chrono Trigger (SNES)

Bit of an odd list looking at it. As you can probably tell I absolutely loved my Sega Saturn, that's where all my best memories are. This would probably change quite a bit if i really spent time going through my old games but in general I spent a hell of a lot of time in these games and have all left some sort of imprint on me.

  5. I'm looking for some people to do the Suramar mythic dungeons with if you fancy grouping up. I'm off work from Wed to Sat so should be available then. I'm actually quite looking forward to seeing how the story pans out in that zone.

  6. The thing that they've absolutely nailed this expansion is they've created an environment with so much to do. I've logged in pretty much every day since launch and there's always so much to do, it's overwhelming. They've removed the 'raid or nothing else' philosophy and you're just able to get on with hundreds of things. I really like the fact that you really need to concentrate on one character and not just focus on levelling alts just to pass the time. Very smart move with the world quests. The legendary hunting is great too, really makes all the work you put in feel rewarding when one drops and they're delivering constant, good quality content - instead of one huge one every 4 months or so. They've listened and the expansion is proving a huge success so far.

  7. Why would you not back the manager? Being on his back from day one adds more pressure, more negativity around the club and affects any chance of success. I just cannot understand it. We all want the same thing, right? To get promoted. We need to stick to together. The guy deserves a chance as much as anyone else we've had.

  8. It's clear that at the start of the season we had a plan to overwhelm teams with our attacking options and you could argue that we were a little unlucky at times due to individual errors and poor finishing but it didn't take teams very long to work out that we have absolutely no other game plan and it's now incredibly easy for teams to counter us as. All the opposition needs to do is put more men in midfield, it's a simple game. There's now no rhythm to our play, no structure, confidence is shattered and defence is always under pressure to make mistakes as there's absolutely no protection. The attacking players are headless chickens and we're relying on random individual pieces of skill to even create a chance.

We have a decent squad for this league but it's is being managed unbelievably badly. I actually can't believe how naive the management is, considering both RDM and Clarke have managed in this league before. But it shouldn't surprise me, we still continue to make the wrong decisions at board level, it's never ending. It won't get better under RDM, he's showing in times of difficulty how lost he is. Has to go, unfortunately.

  9. If he was clinical then his lack of teamwork wouldn't be such a problem but he's not, he's incredibly wasteful and his selfishness is detriment to the team at a time when we need every player working together just to form some sort of stability and consistency. I'm starting to feel that we would actually benefit as a whole getting rid of him.
