Soon to be signing a new contract
Ashley Westwood is close to agreeing a new long-term contract at Aston Villa.
The claret and blues want to tie down their top performers and build for the future following the departures of prized assets Fabian Delph and Christian Benteke this summer.
Westwood, a mainstay in the side for the past three seasons has impressed boss Tim Sherwood since his arrival in February, and is expected to be rewarded for his displays.
He will follow the likes of Ciaran Clark and Nathan Baker who have both also penned new deals at the club in recent weeks.
Signed for just £900,000 from Crewe Alexandra in 2012, the 25-year-old has been a consistently-reliable performer and represents excellent value for money.

There's more than just heading that he's better at than Benteke:
"Defenders invariably want to get out the way. It's like a moving car, you don't just stand there - you want to move out the way when it's coming at 30mph.
"He throws himself at it. He's brave. But he's more than a battering ram. His hold-up play is good, his movement is good and he knows his limitations.
"He wants us to get the ball out wide and then get himself into the box. If the boys deliver crosses he will eat them up."

He'd be a useful player to have if he did come but I'd rather we didn't sign anyone else from Spuds while Levy is there. Especially ones who don't want to come.

Watched the first 2 episodes tonight, I thought it got off to a good start, as expected the music was great.
Binge watched the first half of season one of Rogue last night, gonna finish it off tonight. It's a solid show so far that stands out due to copious shots of Thandie Newtons chebs, They exceeded my expectations.
