  1. Agreed.  As I said before.  The squad is good.  His management of it - poor.

That's an easy thing to say, and many have said it. It may or may not be true, but saying it doesn't make it so.

I think the challenges have been monumental, and a different manager achieving the same results would probably have lost the plot, and the dressing room, completely by now.

Instead, the squad morale seems fine, the people he works for are happy with the job he's doing, and he's still picking up good deals in the transfer market.

"The people he works for are happy with the job he's doing"

As a multiple season ticket purchaser, I reckon he works for me (a bit), and I certainly ain't happy!

If he is indeed tactically clueless and a poor coach I guess we'll see the proof in comparison with his successor, but we aren't going to like the circumstances in which we get to find out, barring a takeover.

  2. Better performance yesterday, especially when Gil came on. If Baker hadn't fluffed his lines I'm pretty certain we would have got something. No excuse for starting Cleverley at all, let alone at RW. We need to go back to our counter attacking game for the next two but with Gil and perhaps another we can play a bit with the ball too.

Scoreline looks bad but we'll pick up points if we play as we did second half.

    Are you Lambert in disguise?
  3. I think it will be

    Guzan

    Hutton Vlaar Okore Cissokho

    Sanchez Cleverley Cole

    Weimann Benteke Agbonlahor

Weimann will have a dreadful game, keep losing it with his first touch... Sanchez will get a red card on about 65 minutes when the pressures on... Cole will look good in flashes but not see enough of the ball... Gabby will flash it across the goalmouth but Benteke will stare at him andshout why didn't he pull it back to him on the 18 yard line... The crowd will scream for Grealish to come on, we'll see him on about 78 minutes, he will add some spark and energy, and put in the last minute cross for Benteke who will force Speroni into a great save.

    0-0

Having read this, I wonder if it's even worth going to the game!
  4. My son and I are season ticket holders in the North Stand, on the side nearest to the away fans, and have been for some years. Today, we aren't going. Basically, we can't ***** stand it any more. No fire, no bravery, no tactics, no clue, as it has been for 3 years now. We shelled out £600 in July in the belief that things could only get better. They haven't. Over and out.
