I think we are very close to being there right now. One striker in the style of Rooney who can come deep to create as well as get goals and think we could be right up there.

Looking at poachers like Bent and Defoe I think we wouldn't be much higher than we are now. Those kinds of players are useless without service which at times we simply don't provide. We would need someone who could perform Petrov's duties as well as having some real creative spark.

Thought this would be a close game, was expecting a draw but we never looked like conceding. Tactics and selection were spot on today, when Carew came on I was thinking we would go 442 but was happy to see us keep the 451 which really suits the team we have.

Gabby looked great again today, looked like he was improving his all round game last season when he played up top on his own and looked like that player again today running into the channels and holding up well. Good finish as well with his weak foot.

Wouldn't have thought it was Clark's debut the way he played today. Confident performance but not a massive test at the same time as Fulham were poor in attack today. Looks a good prospect and wouldn't disappointed to see him 4th choice come the end of the window.

Honestly if we had made changes and still lost would you be on here saying it was unfortunate but at least MON made the right changes or would you complain that we changed things when we were winning and should have gone for another goal? what game was you watching big john? we got a near escape when that rapid player missed an absolute sitter. thats when mon should ahve known they were bound to score. they were looking dangerous and bossing the midfield. stan was losing the ball all night and we just keeping losing the ball. NRC should have been bought on

your impression is wrong big john you seem to defend mon in all circumstances and feel he shouldnt be critised at all. but he deserves it for doing nothing when rapid dominated for that 20 minutes. the warning signs were there and he only bought on gabby once they scored. very poor tactics with his subs

Have to agree MON really should have made changes after we scored. At that point we were through, they had nothing to lose so were going to do whatever they could to get a goal. What did MON do? Nothing just left they almost score and still nothing. Few minutes later they did score and we finally make changes but far too late.

I think the team did great last night don't get me wrong the 442 was the right choice for the start of the match but once we had qualification in our grasp we should have gone for a more secure 451

They should have just finished us off there. We look like we have already given up now, not looking good at all
