  3. Ha, yeah, very true. Surely if we were actually as bad as all that then we should be chuffed with that kind of return.

I think we've got a lot more potential than we've shown so far this season. Patience...

I think this is why he was getting so much stick a month ago.

The players were the same as last seasons purple patch but we were just horrible to watch. Frustrations were taken out on the manager, which was fair enough in my book. Lowton mentioned in an interview they were under instructions to not take as many risks going forward. It seems that restriction has been removed and we are a much more entertaining team to watch, which keeps the fans happy and It obviously suits up to have a go at teams. Hopefully more positive results will follow.

  4. We'll go down this year I think, we are only a couple of points away from what are already low points totals accumulated so far by the teams below us. The league position makes things appear more rosy than they are but after the next 2-3 games we will be right in there again with some fairly difficult games to come. We may scoff at the signing made by the teams below and around us but they are different to what they already have so its possible they will improve teams. Lescott will certainly improve west ham despite the wages, fulham are about to do some good business, I like shane long, Cardiff are intersting and Sunderland are doing business. We are lucky there have been worse teams than us so far but even though they have been terrible we are still right in there. Those teams have made changes, if they work while we have stood still we may find ourselves out of luck this year.

Its a negative view and im a negative guy, but thats my feeling at the minute

I was worried but I think the loan signing of Bertrand will be enough to see us safe. The LB position was our major weak area defensively. Massive difference sorting that out.

  5. Even if Norwich do keep hold of him, it seems like such a small victory.

They get to keep a player who hasn't really figured much and is only going to decrease in value until his contact expires.

    So petty.

    So so petty.

    Poor Wes.

  6. The bottom line is we not sell to Villa regardless of the offer, period.

Thats from a respected ITK journo M Dennis this morning.

This is getting well spiteful now imo.

How does it make you feel?

All of this bad blood does no one at Norwich any good.  It actually is bad for their current management team as well as it says that they are still bitter Lambert left them and ergo they still want him as their manager,  they are not satisfied with what they have now

Maybe they just don't want to sell?

To us.  If someone like Fulham,  Newcastle,  Stoke,  Cardiff,  WBA etc etc etc  put in a bid of around 1.5M they'd sell him of that I have no doubt at all.  It is us they have the issue with and it is because they are still sore we took Paul from them.

I'm pretty sure we would not sell him for £1.5m to anyone else but its also correct to say we do not want to sell to Villa/Lambert if we can help it. Lambert/Villa manufactured his departure from us and then tried to avoid us getting the rightful compensation. Most clubs would be sore. Its no coincidence that Lambert falls out with every club he leaves/walks out on because he is a ruthless individual who is only ultimately concerned with his own career. That's fine, we knew that, benefitted from it for a while and ultimately should not have been surprised that he walked out on us in the same way he did Colchester. That's not to say though that we are not entitled to be disappointed or indeed that we should go about making his life easier now he's your manager by selling him any players he fancies when we don't need to sell them.
