Alan Nixon thinks we are in for him, so may be something in it.

Having watched that video he looks good, left foot, right foot and headed finishes, with some seriously dodgy celebrations thrown in. Good size and pace about him, could be a good addition if we are after him. He's 26 so not a kid, and looking at his record, he'd not scored prolifically prior to the last 2 seasons.

Been excited about Kodjia for a while now, some great finishes last season... but I always admire a striker who have the presence of mind to dink a ball past a keeper instead of just blasting it when inside the box.

Kodjia played in the French leagues before arriving at Bristol - Angers I think and every second goal of his was a cool dink over a keeper

If you can find video of his finishing in France you will realise that a 26 yr old striker in his prime for £6.5 million is a bit of a steal.

    Nice dance celebrations too

  3. I reckon - if fit - Tshibola will be going straight into the first XI.

Clarke put him straight in for Reading at the start  of last season and he thrived becoming the "heartbeat of the club"

When he got injured after 12 games Readings team fell apart

    Sign him up

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The thought of Adama in the championship gives me an erection. I'll think he'll be unstoppable.

You obviously didn't see Irelands game today so. Duffy was awful.

I disagree, apart from challenging Giroud for Griezmanns second goal, I think he had a good game - throwing himself into tackles and dominating Giroud for nearly all the game

He has been involved in 134 premiership games since the start of the 09/10 season.

That works out at just about a gnats testicle more than 19 games a season.

So that's about 50% of games in the most extended run of worst results the club have ever endured.

Tony Pullis wants WBA to give us £5million for him, why are we waiting.

I would bite your hand off for £5million..... take £3million and give it to Blackburn for Clark international teammate Duffy

Elphick + Duffy would be a formidable partnership

Watching the Euros just isn't the same when I'm not on unofficial Villa scouting duty...

Although it is a bit fun looking for a half-decent player that may actually play for us.

Plenty of talent out there in France.....

Ukraine, Poland, Iceland even Albania the way they're playing tonight.

My realistic tips..... Halldorson (Iceland keeper), 32 yrs looked very comfortable plucking crosses out of the air full stretch,  also Jeff Hendrick (Ireland midfielder) currently at Derby County - played really well against Sweden

    He's 1.8m tall so 5'10/5'11

1.8m = 5'9" which IMO is small for a centre half in the very physical Championship.

He has been promoted twice with Bournemouth so he has buckets of experience, I hope we get this one over the line.

I would really love us to somehow bring in one marquee signing - someone that makes everyone sit up and take notice, ideally a striker.  Then get on with the solid but unspectacular build of the rest of the squad.  Would not only excite us but would show intent to some of the players thinking about / trying to move on.

Honestly ...I'd rather keep Ayew, than invest heavily this year. I think he would rip up the Championship

  10. Possible team next Season:

    ..............................Boruc (Free)................................

    Hutton..........Wasilewski (Free)....Duffy (5mil).......Bennett

    .....................Gardner..............Tetty (Free)...............

    Adama....................Osman (Free).................Grealish

    ..............................McCormack (9mil)...................................

Bench: Steer, Clark, Toner, Lyden, Westwood, Hepburn-Murphy, Gestede

Must get shod of:     Guzan, Richards, Lescott, Bacuna & Gabby

Would love to keep:  Amavi, Gana & Ayew as they would rip up the championship - Adama will leave also

Duffy at Blackburn is solid no nonsense Irish International

  11. Complete overhaul required -

    Out:

Guzan £1m (prob USA) - unfortunately must leave

Mark Bunn £300,000 (Championship or Div 1)

Richards £3m (to Bottom of Prem) - must leave

Cissoko £2m (to France or Turkey)

Lescott £500,000 (to USA) - must leave

    Okore £2.5m (to Prem)

Amavi £10.5m (to Italy or France) - hope he would stay

Bacuna £2m (to Holland) - times up, must go

Gana £8m (to Prem League) - hope he stays

Richardson £free - out of contract

    Veretout £5m (back to France)

    N'Zogbia £free - out of contract

Sanchez £2m - (to Spain or Portugal)

Agbonlahor £1m (to Turkey) - must leave

    Kozak £500,000 (to Europe)

Ayew £8m (to Prem, Swansea maybe)

Thats 16 players out - quite an overhaul with takings of £30-40m some may think this number is high, but Amavi, Ayew and Gana have been decent in a god awful team and I would expect to get a similar return for the money we paid. Amavi is a sought after, talented, young left back who would demand a good fee. Ayew was one of our few shining lights this season, in a half decent team he will score a bucket full of goals. Gana topped the charts in interceptions and tackles for the whole season. I will be surprised if we can hold onto any of them.

Leaving us with a depleted squad of:

Steer, Baker, Bennett, Clark, Hutton, Kinsella, Toner, Westwood, Gardner, Gil, Grealish, Sinclair, Lyden, Traore (don't think anyone will afford/ risk buying him), Gestede plus reserves

In an ideal world we would require - at least:

    1 x keeper, 1 x RB, 1x LB, 2 x CB, 3 x Mid, 3 x Forward .......... ie. a new first 11

Of the freebies - I would go for

James Morrison, Tom Carroll, Damien Delaney, Leon Osman, Marcin Wasllewski

Buy Crouch and Adam from Stoke, maybe a loan for Charlie Austin or Danny Ings.......... what d'you reckon

I think Croich would be a great signing as long as he doesn't demand the earth . Better than Gestede and seems a good character too

    Sorry... I read that crotch!!!

The big man would be perfect for the Championship, have Sinclair or Hepburn Murphy running off him.

Always been impressed with his attitude and his play with ball at feet

Teach Gestede about movement a nd positional sence for a target man.

Would be good for 12-15 goals I reckon

  13. After years of embarrassment, we are finally getting relegated. The owners, board and players should be ashamed of themselves. To this end, next season the Villa should be forced to wear a pink and baby blue kit as a constant reminder of their inept effort and attitude which brought us to Championship Football.

If someone sets up a petition. I'll be the first to sign it!

  14. I believe the 10 shirt is being kept for Adeybayor. TS was testing the water with the relocation debate. Spurs will be bricking it .... Keeping him on payroll till Xmas at least. They will pay a higher percentage of his wages to get him off the books. The loan will go through before deadline at a lower wage and our ex arsenal execs will toast a job well done
