There's a huge problem with us when we go behind.
We've come from behind a few times this season
-
Scorline definatly does not reflect the game! Thiught we played well in the first half and after the break up until the goal. We deserved a penalty and overall gave a good performance. Our heads dropped after the first goal and we definatly need an impact sub.

If anyone is interested, I have had it confirmed from Villa Park that the prices are £2.00 adults, £1.00 concessions
Thanks, I'll be popping down tonight with the kids. Bargain.
Thats quality! Wish I could make it!

Messing around again with Sponsors on kits-
The home with ACORNS as the full sponsor
An away kit (based on Nike's PSG kit. The tiny dot pattern is made up of alternate claret & blue dots)
A third Kit (based on the USA world cup Nike kit. The blue looks darker on the original adobe Illustrator file, and in photoshop than here)
the 3rd kit is quality!!! is it me or do shirts look better without sponsors?
Love the 3rd kit.
The third kits a bit too american for me!

Did anyone think Burnley would get a result? Our big game is Everton!
How true

Shows what a week off has done for us. Its nice especially getting to rest Milner too
Too right, good day all round so far, just need burnley to do us a favour to round it off nicely!

IMO that's a good win. After a 7-1 drubbing, to keep a clean sheet and win the game is a great response...no matter how we played. We've had a few draws up at Bolton in the last few years so we've bucked that trend and hopefully we're back on track.
Defo!!

Chuffed to bits, last weekend must have been in the back of their minds so i thinks demons well and truly exercised!!
Well done the boys!!

Cheer the **** up all of you who are not going becuase we may lose!! We actually may win as well! You're either a supporter or not! Follow your team through the good and bad times. This"bad time" for us sees us pushing for 4th place, beaten finalists in Carling Cup and one game away from an FA Cup final...the way some people are acting (negativity) you'd think we'd been put into adminstration!
Get a **** grip!!
Well said!

I saw Bolton v Man Utd last week, and Bolton looked much better than the scoreline suggested
I know what you mean, I am not so sure this game is as straight forward as we would hope for!
Lets see what the lads will produce after last weekend!

I think we will be lucky if he stays with us after reading through this thread. It appears that the only opinion worth having here is one pinpointing change when stability is often what is needed. He has improved us year on year so far so he automatically deserves another season to see what can be done in the next.
His record in the transfer market is pretty good since our entire 1st team has been signed by him apart from Gabby but MON developed him so deserves credit for it. We need more strength in depth if we are to challenge regularly for 4th place but I'm sure he knows this more than anyone. He is building a squad from scratch and that takes time. His squad has brought us to a CC final, FA cup semi and within touching distance of 4th this season, imagine what could happen with some more quality signings!
He has overachieved this season and last with the squad he has and the media hype surrounding us has the fans expecting success in every area resulting in outrageous comments suggesting that we would be better off without him.
I can assure you if the fans force him out of the door after what he has done for us his replacement will not be Mourinho or Bilic or Jol or Benitez because why would they touch a club whose supporters turn on their manager so quickly.
Here's hoping no one at Villa Park reads this website!
Great post, can't agree more. I don't understand why some of our fans get on his back (yes you can point to the 7-1 or what appears to be his reluctance to use the bench), if you look at where we were just 5 seasons ago, battling relegation, now we seem to be consistantly fighting for Europe. I am as frustrated as the next man when we don't perform but I think the art of consistency is learn't and not achieved overnight. Most of the teams around us are going to improve year on year and we will always be battling with them for a higher league position, but we can't expect to walk into the CL just because we nearly did it last season, especially not when you have Man City who are just going to throw money at the squad in order to achieve qualification, we can't compete with that, but it gives me great satisfaction to seem MON building a fantastic starting 11. I for one want MON as our manager and will support him and the team through all our ups and downs, that is what football is about after all!

I voted probably not, and I hope I am right.
-
I would have took a 7-1 in the league and a 1-0 in the semi final all day long every day for the rest of my life.
Thats the spirit - lets get behind the team!!
-
Ok its an embarrassing defeat, but one during a season where we have already been to Wembley, we have another semi-final coming up at Wembley (no matter what happened yesterday) and again despite the hammering by Chelsea we are still scrapping for the a European position, albeit highly unlikely to be CL. So how people can be looking at the next manager is beyond me. Surely now is the time to get behind the team and pick them up ready fot the Bolton game.
-
unbelievable, we'll struggle to finish 7th at this rate!
-
not sure, but it would be nice!
-
I must say, I find it odd that anyone would wish for a new manager at the moment. He proved correct with the signings he made over the summer (Downing aside - for now) and we're clearly not playing to our full capacity all of the time yet, but still getting results, two of which have come against the 'big four'. For me, there is no way I would swap him.
-
I said 5th/6th + trophy. I'd like to see us cement our place in the top 6, i know this is the second season in a row but spurs and citeh will be more of a threat next term, and a cup to add to that would push us on again imo.

my missus is playing 'sorry seems to be the hardest word' on the piano
-
8 for me. At the start of the window, i think i would have definatly taken what we've got, although a bit of competition up front would have been nice!
-
I went for 2008/09 just because we have 4 players playing in the right positions
Mellberg was calss but was not a Right Back plus this year we still have Bouma to come back aswell so that why
Agreed!

Yeah i think so, maybe a little anxious mind!!!
