  1. I went to BigJohns (Selly Oak) last night. Was nice, however the prick behind the counter serving me ended up giving me a load of food I never ordered, he really cocked it up, I was too pissed to notice.

  2. I doubt e-on could sponsor us because they sponsor the FA Cup and the football league now
EONs sponsorship of the FA Cup finishes this season, NPower are the new sponsors of the Football League, EON have some partnership with the Football League, but aren't a leading sponsor.
  3. My Ratings would be:

Friedel- 7.5 Some good saves and confident punches

Cuellar- 6.5 Defensively fine but crosses are poor, some nice passes though.

    Dunne- 7 Classic Dunne

Collins- 6.5 Solid job but one big mistake where Friedel bailed him out with a great save.

Warnock- 7 Added a lot of width on the left and was defensively solid

Downing- 5.5 average with a couple of good dead ball deliveries

Delph- 7 Excellent first half, played very well with Petrov looked comfortable on the ball and looked to drive through the midfield. Went invisible second half most likely struggling after being injured the last couple of weeks

Petrov- 8 Benefited from playing next to a midfielder that didn't keep drifting wide and the extra attacking freedom. Think we'll see the best of him in a 3 man midfield on him delph and milner.

Young- 8 MOTM Very good goal. Was always looking a threat with the ball trying to beat defenders. Needs to work on his dead ball delivery as hes being wasteful at the moment.

Carew- 6 Didn't look fully fit but was a handful for the defenders

Agbonglahor- 5.5 marked down for missing a great chance to seal the game up early. Otherwise a strong performance brought other players into the game

Subs: Sidwell 5 nothing of note.

Heskey 6.5 Was good when he came on. Held up well and almost scored. Prefer seeing him come on the bench than starting, dont want him on when we are chasing a goal though.

Pretty much agree with your scores there, although, I think you're being slightly harsh on Gabby, I think he had a very good game, apart from that one on one, he's been badly missed. Can't work out how you rated Carew's performance as better than Gabby's.
  4. Former Aston Villa defender Gary Cahill says his former club do not have the stamina to finish in the top four this season.

The Bolton centre-half left Villa Park for the Reebok Stadium in 2008 and has been a hit with for the Trotters so far.

Following Villa's embarrassing 7-1 defeat to Chelsea last weekend, Blues captain John Terry came out to say he expected the Claret and Blues to fade after 60 minutes.

And despite opposition from manager Martin O'Neill, Cahill concurs with Terry's appraisal of his old club.

"I won't criticise Martin O'Neill because everyone can see he's a good manager," he said in The Sun.

"But he's been fortunate with the amount of cash that's been available to him. He's built a good team there, a strong side.

    Stamina

"They are always challenging but it seems they tail off at the end of the season.

"They don't seem to have that stamina to go all the way - but it might come in time."

Cahill will line-up against his former club on Saturday as Villa look to get their top-four push back on track.

"In a way I was surprised Villa let me go," he added.

"Maybe if the manager had taken a bit more time with me I could have become a bit of a fixture there.

"But I came here and I've bettered my career. I've got into the England set-up playing for Bolton Wanderers."

Old boy has a dig, time to ram these words down his throat.

  5. Shit, just remembered i got a concert to go to Friday night at the NEC, Bad company.

Can't be **** with it, better go though, it was a present from my old man.

    bollocks.

  6. I would expect around 25 million for transfers next year, and if MON can't do it on that, then it just goes to show what a poor job he has done, because that should get you 2 class, or 3 good players - and surely after 4 yrs, that should be all you need,

I think we are just 2 class players away from having a really good go at the CL. How many players do you think we need?

Maybe, but we will need to spend £30mil to keep up, City, Spurs and the likes, will spend money.
