  1. Yeah, there were some weight issues in that fight aswell. Guzman has had trouble with weight before but 9lbs isn't struggling to make weight or a miscalculation, it's a "**** you and your lanky ass, Ali Funeka"

A lot of good him coming over here to train did then :D

Like you say though, 9lbs is taking the piss.

    9lbs is nothing........

whenever i'm back in Brum i my nephews try to have a little scuffle with me....... i'm at least 80lb heavier than them...... fools!! 8)

    I show them!! :D

  2. I havent heard some songs this year...

Tracey Andrews...ok its a bit harsh but still funny..

Birmingham are you listening (tune of walking in winter wonderland)

and mainly...Tony Daley like a torpedo.

As such I have tried to bring this song into the modern game.....

Braaaad Friedel, rolls the ball to Petrov.

Petrov back to Richard Dunne and out to Ashley Young.

Ashley Young down the wing like a torpedo

Puts the ball in the aiiirrrrrrrrrrr...

    To Nathen Delfounso.

    Thoughts please?

Reckon we can get it going?

Braaaad Friedel, rolls the ball to Petrov.

Petrov passes to the side, never back or forwards.

Ashley Young down the wing, step over, step over

    Get's past the last maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan

And then crosses straight to the keeper.......

  3. Multiple sources have told BoxingScene.com that Joan Guzman is well over the weight for tomorrow's bout with Ali Funeka, who are scheduled to fight for the vacant IBF lightweight title. Guzman, who has a history of weight issues, is rumored to be at 144-pounds. If that is true, there is no way Guzman will be able to shed off that much weight. Guzman was unable to make weight for his lightweight title bout with Nate Campbell in September 2008. He was several pounds over, the fight was canceled and he served a minor suspension.

Funeka's promoter Gary Shaw, who is in Detroit, Michigan, for Saturday's super middleweight fight between Andre Dirrell and Arthur Abraham, was in shock.

Shaw was initially unaware of the information but spoke to BoxingScene 15-minutes later, after making a few phone calls, and said - "you are right, he's pretty overweight."

Shaw did state to BoxingScene earlier - "Now the question is, does the IBF give us the title? We are not going to fight him if he's that overweight [144]."

Just in: Tomorrow night’s 12-rounder between Joan Guzman (29-0-1, 17 KOs) and Ali Funeka (30-2-3, 25 KOs) is still on – but it will not be for the IBF lightweight title, at least for one of the fighters. Earlier today, Guzman weighed in nine pounds heavy, at 144, while Funeka made weight at 135. A deal was struck between camps allowing the fight to go on – providing that Guzman does not weigh more than 150 lbs. tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. If Funeka defeats the overweight Guzman, he will also be allowed to bring the IBF lightweight title home to South Africa

Didn't something like that happen for Corrales v Castillo? I can remember Castillo being well over the linit and the fight still went ahead and after he knocked out Corrales the commentators said they thought Castillo had no intention of ever making the weight, he just wanted to be heavier and stronger to really hurt Corrales seriouslly.

  4. Villa

    Holland

    Tampa Bay Rowdies

    England

There are match worn Aberdeen jersey's in my loft, from the Cup Winners Cup Final and 2 Scottish cup Finals, 3 Scotish international one's from the 1980's, plus a Scottish Junior (eqivalent of English non league) international jersey plus 2 junior international Caps.

My mate at work is good friends with a guitarist who played with the stone roses who gave him an Brazil shirt signed by Pele for his birthday.

  5. A loud mouthed Man City fan and a Spurs fan who i work with both slate Gabby at any given opportunity, So does the Chelsea and the Utd fan.......... they only person who doesn't is the Arsenal fan, who says he would like to see him at the Emirates, with Milner as well.

The way you make it sound suggests it's the fan's that are responsible for the player transfers???

Er can't see how it does?

I was merely commenting on a post made by someone else about how other teams fans don't rate Agbonlahor, and then also saying that one fan does........ nothing at all about fans being resonsible for transfers....

  6. i actually believe Gabby will leave Villa for a Champions League side unfortunately for Villa, lets face it thats football its bound to happen eventually.
From what I've seen not many people rate him apart from Villa fans. Can't imagine why though. he's excellent. Hopefully he'll be back for Wednesday. If he is, I'm confident we can win that given Carew's recent return to form.

  7. Shit performance but I still think we will get 4th, i had us down for a draw v Wigan and a win today...... 4 pts........ so we still got the 4pts but just the wrong way round, Spurs and Man City still got some big games to play, as do we but i fancy us to sneak it.

  8. No appeal against the Death penalty

    Ha ha. Really?

So no actual system of any checks then?

What happens when an innocent person is put to death? Would your conscience live with that?

Or is this actually a case of you not being serious at all and just trying to post whatever it is that you think will 'provoke' people whom you dislike?

appeals against other sentences will be allowed, but if the original sentence is found to be correct it will then be doubled with no right to appeal........

Again, is this a serious suggestion or just a bit of PFE?

    It might..... depends.

    I don't post for effect........

  9. Putting the body on railtracks in an attempt for it to be totally destroyed beyond recognition tells me they did.

And tell me, how often is this train line used? Do you know the frequency of the trains on the Canada Dock Branch line? I'll wager that the kids thought it was an abandoned train line as it virtually is. It took only two days for a train to do the damage, it could have been weeks, not sure I've ever seen more than two trains on it in all the years I've lived here. Its also pretty bloody close to a police station (like 100 yards tops). I really don't think you've made the correct assumption there

So at which point did in the day did they forget what they were doiing was wrong?

    When they took him?

    When they beat him?

    When they tortured him?

    When the killed him?

I'd wager before, during and after each one they knew it was wrong.......

and how often the track was used is irrelevant, they knew if the body was hit by a train it would be impossible in their mind to identify the body..... kids don't deal in forensics so to them it would have been.... nothing to identify = getting away with it.

  10. I knew that comment would have you up in arms........

    :?

So what? Any chance of answering the question(s)?

No appeal against the Death penalty....... appeals against other sentences will be allowed, but if the original sentence is found to be correct it will then be doubled with no right to appeal........

  11. I never agreed to appeals

As we have appeals as part of our justice system, are you suggesting a different scenario (i.e. no appeals) just for crimes which would receive the death penalty in your world (as opposed to appeals for all other crimes)?

Or are you suggesting that you would get rid of appeals full stop?

I knew that comment would have you up in arms........
