General, it is good to know that you are getting back to being fighting fit when we need to you to go over the top and give the Bloose board members a damn good seeing to - Marine style. Anyway, i have a suggestion. With the club having increased their provision for corporate hospitality massively. Would there be any room for the accommodation of some sort of reward scheme for long standing season ticket holders in that when they have passed a certain barrier i.e. purchasing a season ticket for a continuous number of years, that they be given a voucher to attend 1 match of their choice in one of the corporate facilities. I am not a season tikcet holder as i can't committ to every Villa home game but just think of the possibilites for continued support from those that do and also the fact that some supporters may want to upgrade in the future. Just a thought.

General, In the face of what has been said over the past couple of days, I would like to jump on the appreciation band wagon with both feet and give my support to everyone involved in the running of AVFC. Wouldn't you agree that it is amazing how the press in this country can turn anything that is said by an individual into an agruement to create their own stories. Have you seen how local newspapers are using your comment on this site to pretty much say that we are about to splash an awful lot of cash?

I went to the game yesterday General and took my 4 year old son (decked out in the complete new kit) to his first Villa game. I thought that whole matchday experience is fantastic and the stadium looks great. However, walking to the game from where we parked at spaghetti junction along Lichfield road and Aston Hall road, I noticed something that I thought I should comment on. I passed two boarded up pubs (the Aston Tavern and one on the corner of the 2 roads) if we want to get into the local community more and of course generate more income, would it be possible to purchase these venues and return them into being watering holes. Thus the community would be able to use them during the week as a pub and the fans could congregate there on matchdays to enjoy a pre and post match drink. I know we have the Holte Hotel but it is only for STH and even then on a rota basis. An AVFC chain of pubs (perhaps offering the Two for One meal deals like other chains) within a mile radius of Villa Park would help to impact on the local community and the club. P.S. please pass on my best wishes to Freddi and hope that he recovers quickly.

General, I'd like to say thank you for the way we are showing that we do not intend to be anyones lap dog and dance to their tune. Someone needes to take a stand against this sort of bullying by so called big clubs and I am proud that it is us. Benitez and Liverpool have come up against a dangerous combination of American stubornness and a mad Irishman. Anyway, a couple of questions: 1) Do you think that AVFC has the potential to generate as much income as the Browns? and 2) Will the bus service be running a normal match day service for the home intertoto match? Cheers and keep up the tough stance, don't show any signs of creaking and weakness.

General, this is my first post on this thread and would first of all like to offer my congratulations to everyone involved in the trun around of our great club, I look at every new season with optimism rather than preparing myself for the worst (as in previous seasons). My question is this, After being linked with some very gifted players in the press in recent weeks, I was wondering a) if there is any substance to these rumours? and when do you think we will be signing players that are considered to be galacticos (ie top quality players mostly seen in the Champions league)?
