Young Scott Hogan would be perfect for you, he’s a goal machine and a snip at £10m.

This is Scottish football outside of the old firm......no fees will can or will be paid!!

I get On really well with Micky he’s asked me to move from Tranmere and help him  at Dundee United.

Ah interesting, Seems a very good guy and is getting the best out of our players. Giving the youth a chance too. Hope you enjoy following Utd!

    Nice to meet you @ForfarVillan

I'm going to be scouting for Dundee United this season.

Been watching what i can this season of Dundee United.

You too bud. Pleasantly surprised by our start this season. Pretty much the same team as we had in the championship and Micky Mellon has us playing with loads of effort and pressing. We've been well organised but are just missing that bit of bite up front because our star man (Lawrence Shankland) is carrying a knock

Josh Doig (18 Year Old Centre Back at Hibs) & Lewis Neilson (17 Year Old Centre Back at Dundee United) have both impressed me in the games i've watched on the net since Scottish Premier League Kicked Off. I've watched 3 of Dundee United's games so far this season. Neilson has been very impressive indeed. He's got big potential.

He's is already had representatives from Leeds, Leicester, Southampton & Everton watching him.

Dundee utd fan here. Neilson seems to have come out of nowhere. Wasn't one of the ones who we were expecting to make an impact in the first team (Kai Fotheringham was my guess). Holy crap has he been impressive. So composed for a boy who has just turned 17. Big lad and still growing. Everton were up looking at him last week. Massive potential

For the record I don't mind signing older players providing they are good enough as you say. However, is age is a key factor for two reasons:

    1) It goes against our recent strategy of buying younger footballers with resale values

    2) Given he is not a spring chicken anymore, if he was any decent he would have been picked up by someone else by now

I have serious doubts of the quality of a 28 year old still playing his trade in Denmark. Surely by now a team from a more established league would have decided to take a punt on him.

We shouldn't be buying squad players when our current attacking midfielders (Trez, El Ghazi, Jota etc.) are not good enough to hold down a starting spot.

This is the problem with people who are obsessed with stats. Players mature and hit their primes at different ages. Surely not every single player we want to buy is a youngster with sell on value....every club wants that in doses but you need some sort of experience in the team. Such an ignorant comment to say "someone would have snapped him up by now" there are loads of players who have stayed in their country for years and the done well elsewhere.

I really hope not. 28 years old, 1 International cap, only ever played in the Danish league and hardly prolific there. There are much better and younger targets we should be pursuing.

Fingers crossed its lazy journalism, following our appointment of Lange and his one good game against United.

To be heavily linked to Rashica and end up with him would be heartbreaking!

deary me when did football fans become so ageist?. Any links to anyone over the age of 25 and it's a disaster. Couldn't care less if it's Kazuyoshi Miura we're signing at 53, if they can do a job they can do a job

  7. In liue  of any actual news I'm hoping we are keeping an eye on 17 year old Shoji Toyama who just broke through at Gamba Osaka in the J league. Highly highly regarded at youth level and just scored two on his senior debut. One to watch for sure.

It’s a good shout John, I know nothing about him and I’ve not seen him play (to my knowledge). Dundee are playing Motherwell at 3, maybe I’ll tune in and scout him a bit!

It's Dundee Utd. Wrote a post about him a load of pages back. Incredible goal scorer to the point where he got an international call up whilst in the Scottish championship. Last player to get that was John McGinn. Big season for him as everyone is waiting to see if he can do it in the top league. We (Utd) played two prem teams last season and he scored against both of them. Scores all kinds of goals but isn't particularly fast or anything, just a natural goal scorer. Before us he was at Ayr Utd and had an equally incredible record with a much smaller team so basically....the boy knows where the net is. **** leave him with us for another season though! Edited to say he's out with a knock today.

I've liked the look of Greg Taylor ever since I saw him play in Toulon tournament for Scotland a few years back. Did well at Kilmarnock and got a move to Celtic but hardly played last season. I could see them being interested in taking Neil Taylor so could swop them.

He looked great for Killie but Clarke had a way of making decent players gel as a team, I'm still interested to see how he would do away from that Killie setup. Obviously with competition and injury he hasn't been playing but he's still young so plenty of time to prove himself

I've got doubts about his physicality but his goal record is an absolute joke. Just really silly impressive.

Do you think he can contribute if his side doesn't have the ball for 10 mins? He'd probably suit a better side, but very few  good teams really have "goal poachers" any more. I suppose someone like Ings is the ideal example for him.

Honestly, despite romping the championship last season we played some turgid stuff and were often bailed out by him. Just doing it by himself. He scores all sorts of goals too from losing defenders to meet a cross to getting the ball with his back to goal outside the box, turning and scoring. He was playing at a championship team before us and they had a really small budget and still scored a ridiculous amount of goals. Again, this year is his big test and whatever anyone thinks of the level he's been playing at nobody has gotten close to his record from over the last three years.

Got to be some young Scottish left back who’s decent. My hope is that Scotland finally produce a few elite players again and they are all left backs

My team (Dundee Utd) have a decent left back but we're probably his level. Our star is our striker Lawrence Shankland, big season for him as he has been utterly phenomenal for three years in the championship but this is his big test in the top league. I can't see anything but goals from him though, he's a complete natural. Called up for Scotland whilst still in the scottish championship, only one other I can think of that had that recently.....John McGinn.
