  1. If it wasn't for the constant injuries which are so often I use them to go for a piss break during games :) I would have kept him as left sided back up.

Tbf to him though he's good enough to play regularly so probably best all round if he were to leave, good luck to him.

  2. Seems a shame he basically won't get a chance one adebayor is in, they're not find play along side each other and ade won't be signing to warm the bench for libor

So you want Kozak to be first choice?

Why not? If he's good enough.

I'd have thought we all want the player in best form regardless of name to be in the team.

I don't care which one it is as long as they work hard and know where the net is.

  3. While I love Petrov and want nothing but the best for his future, if as the report reads it's true that he has recommended Berbatov after Tonev then I hope he doesn't become a scout.

Yes Berbatov was one of the best forwards to grace the Premier League but his best days are over.

  4. Just for the record guys, It was one week ago today that Richard said it would be "A huge week for the club". :)

Not bagging out Richard or any of the "ITK" posters but given how this squad was short of quality it's not such a leap to say it was going to be a huge week. Even more so after losing Benteke & the snake.

I'll bet that this next week will also be huge, we ain't finished yet.

  5. ITSABMH before I start to take any real interest in him.

Tbh and this nothing to do with his ability if the stories are true about his club increasing the amount and the his agent asking for silly money I would have preferred Villa to have pulled out.

    Why ?

I know that it's only rumours but if they are true then it's taking us for mugs.

Maybe the club didn't allow anyone to change the agreement but if we did then everyone will try it on in the future.

  6. Never heard of him so thought Id look up a few stats and such this morning.

Seems he has played in all of the positions speculated upon above and maybe left midfield too occasionally

14 - 15 Cordoba - 8 games at LB, 14 at CB, 3 at RB 1 at LM/RM in the league. 1 appearance at LB and 1 appearance at RB in the Copa del rey

13 - 14 Bologna - 1 game at LB, 2 games at CB, 1 game at LM, 6 games at RM in Serie A and 1 appearance at RM in the Coppa Italia

Oh yeah and both Bologna and Cordoba got relegated btw

Well surely it can't be 3 in a row, can it? Hahaha.

Bit underwhelming but I'll leave judging him until seeing him play.

  8. £5million for one of the Chuckle Brothers - if true I'd snap their hand off. Appreciate others rate him but he's only got a year left on his contract.

Also think Pulis might make a decent defender out of him

This time last season I would have agreed but Clark was very good last season so I'd prefer him to sign a new contract.

The problem with playing Clark and Baker together is that they are both left sided player, just as playing 2 right sided players Okore and Vlaar didn't work out.

That said if he doesn't want to sign then sell but not for less than 5m.

  9. Interesting that Jacks receiving a tad of criticism yet stats show he has the best pass success rate in the league.

One player that has had a far more memorable season is Jack Grealish, who remains embroiled in an international tug of war. The teenager's composure in possession is such that he is now the Irish-cum-English equivalent of Xavi. Perhaps that's a stretch, but the two players shared the same pass accuracy in 2014/15, with Grealish's figure of 92.7% the best of all Premier League players with 10 or more appearances.football-english-soccer-league-blackpool

Not seen any criticism of his ability.

Jack Grealish isn't receiving any criticism about what he does on the pitch, just for some the things that went on over the summer.

Really hoping for a great season from Jack.

  10. This thread is depressing, he’s already a dud in most people’s eyes and there’s toys being thrown around over the sum paid. I’d sorta like to blow some money on a luxury player thank you very much. We’ve stopped scrapping the barrel of Lambert’s “he could do a job” type players.

Maybe he’s a massive success, maybe he’s shite, maybe, we’re acting like a PL club being extorted for players at any price. I’m just glad to see the club behaving in the manner those around us do.

Eh? Most of the posts I've read are saying that they haven't seen him play and are willing to wait and see, only a couple seem to have written him off.

  11. Very odd, why is he even in Brum if we haven't agreed a fee?

If his French club put him up for sale at 10m Euros but have changed it to Sterling then we should immediately withdraw the offer completely and walk away.

No matter how good he is (or any player for that matter) once the selling club move the goal posts we should end all negotiations, that way any club dealing with us knows that if you try it on we will not proceed.

  12. Losing Benteke and getting Adebayor is like a sick joke.

If Sherwood can't live without him then please Fox only allow him on loan and don't offer to pay anything like 100k per week!

  13. Lol what a tosser...take your pick Delph or the ManC troll.

Delph has just joined the Steve Hodge level of hate, never ever speak about us or even try to explain you lying word removed as we don't want to hear anything you might want say.

  14. My "guess" is we heard very early about this from the French media about our interest and this guy wants to get everything right before committing to us.

Reading between the lines he is/was concerned about how this would effect his chances of making the full French team with the Euros coming up as much as it does about money.

Hopefully he'll sign next week when Sherwood and co are back.

  15. Why not?

I just don't see him as a Villa signing. Far too big a risk at the prices rumoured.

It's only an opinion mind but I wouldn't be surprised if no-one comes in for him.

I wasn't aware of his knee problems. Now I agree.

Nor me, if it's a potential career ending injury then no way will any insurance company cover him so that has to end any interest from us, assuming there was any.

  16. To be honest I couldn't really care less about N'Zogbia but what I find amusing is that so many fans want him gone from the club because they know the manager will still pick him. So rather than question the managers decision making they instead turn on the player and hope he is sold.

Not so in my case as I just think he's absolutely useless.

  17. I detest CNZ, so much so if it meant never seeing him in a Villa I'd happily loan him to blues and pay his wages for the season!

I rate Tonev as a better signing and I question how he ever became a professional footballer.

    Just go.

I don't rate the guy at all, as I've made clear in this thread, but I think this level of hate is a bit over the top.

So? He's stolen a living off my club and if I want him gone.

I don't wish him any physical harm I just loath seeing him fail almost every time in a Villa shirt.
