We look tired. AEG and Barkley in particular are passengers and gave the ball away countless times.
Looking forward to seeing the French duo of Sanson and Traore come on in the second half and switch it up.

Oh yes, and McGinn looks fooked

Southampton got everything they deserved for forcing us into wearing sky blue shorts with our away kit.
Am I the only one that liked it?

Very good referee performance, first time I've thought that in a very long time.
Martinez MOTM simply down to his incredible saves. Distribution could've been better at times for me but still my MOTM.
Manager performance I've put as average. I was screaming out for changes from about 60 mins. I was sure he would bring Sanson on, however it was not to be. Soton were getting more and more into it, i felt we needed fresh legs. Maybe Sanson is not 100% fit yet. Either way, we won so who am I to criticise. If that equaliser was allowed though the air would've been blue in my house.

Bittersweet really how I haven't felt this frustrated watching Villa in a while. Smith needed to change things when at 2-1 to freshen it up but didn't. Barkley looked shagged.
Poor defending for their goals, Cash not clearing his lines then turning away from the cross for the second. Rubbish.
Martinez can't be blamed for their goals either imo. Their equaliser was a bit of a freak goal really, he never expected to score.
Most gutted I've been with a Villa performance in a while. I really expected the 3 points and to stay within touching distance of Europe.
Why are we so poor against the sides we "should" be looking to beat?
Brighton, West Ham, Soton, Burnley
We seem to raise our game against the big 6 then lose concentration against the lesser sides.

I thought a few players looked tired tonight.
Luiz, McGinn, Jack, for me were average at best, how did McGinn miskick that?
He mis hit a couple in key positions tonight. Lack of match sharpness I guess

As soon as I saw John Moss was the ref I said to myself, he will **** us tonight. How many times does he have to screw us over before the FA accept he has a bias? If it isn't his bias, there is some serious foul play going on. The FA/ Premier League simply don't want to risk upsetting the status quo and allowing for a super league. I'm convinced this is not a coincidence.
**** VAR, **** the Premier League and **** John Moss.
I'm fortunate that I am a Newport County season ticket holder where VAR is non existent, otherwise I'd be sacking the game off all together. Its not what drew me to love the sport. Corruption at its highest level.

Wasn't it Oliver who overturned the Tree penalty Vs Brighton even though there was contact? If that can be overturned why not that one? **** VAR and **** Oliver.

Horrible club. Foul after foul going unpunished. Is it just acceptable to fould Villa without punishment? Fernandes has to be one of the biggest words removed in football. Soft penalty to concede but so immature by us to take the risk against cheats like these.
United the best side we've played this season unfortunately but I'd have fancied us to get the second at 1-1 if it wasn't for the pen. So dissapointing.

Garbage.

Playing golf tomorrow and will miss the game. Not bothered one bit. VAR has zapped all enjoyment of the sport away from me, not prepared to have it ruin another day when I could be doing something I enjoy. Praying they scrap it soon. Toys are well and truly out of the pram.
Hoping for a Villa 2-0 win though of course.

I find myself watching less and less top-flight football these days. Literally just watch Villa and that is a chore. VAR has killed the enjoyment, the thrill, the relief of tension of a goal. I'm **** done with it. What is the point?
-
Had a titfull of VAR. Sucked all enjoyment out of the game. Piss take.

Just shite one so many levels tonight. Serious doubts about Watkins ability at this level. Missing for large periods and never seems to get in the right positions for me. Frustrating to watch.

Daft question perhaps but as admittedly someone who knows little about Rashica other than he's left sided player, could we be bringing him as a LWB instead of Targett?
Apologies in advance if this has been done to the death in this thread, I'm not catching up on 1330+ pages

Bacuna is a joke of a footballer. How bad are we if he can get in the starting 11 each week. No wonder we are where we are. Never seems to give 100%, backs out of challenges, can't defend, can't cross a ball. I genuinely don't know what the **** he does.
**** him off at half time please Remi ffs!!
Positive - excellent Bunn save

Bacuna is stealing a living as a Prem footballer. Unbelievably wank.

I think Ayew doing that just sums up this current squad of players. Cowards. No wonder we're going down.
**** off Ayew you word removed!

As soon as Bennett and Sylla came on I thought we'd do well to get a point. Both are Championship players at best. Baffling substitutions.
What was Bennett doing, all his fault, **** useless!
It says a lot when Westwood was voted man of the match but Lambert took him off.
Seriously worried now.
Can't see where the 12 points needed for survival are going to come from!

Rubbish. Not doing the basics. Can't pass, can't control the ball. No attacking threat, shakey defence.
