  1. 360 has the polish of Microsoft and extra time on its side. PS3 when it is close to its full potential will wipe the floor with the 360.

Forget the Wii, it makes no sense whatsoever to me. For example what is the point in playing a darts game? You need to set the optical thing to board height and then hold a big chunky controller thing like a real dart, not possible and you may as wellget a decent board and darts instead! Same goes for quite a few of the games for me, they don't quite work and the controller is just a gimmick.

  2. Has to be Liverpool for me. So many plastics around and they love to let you know they have won, when they've never been to Liverpool let alone Anfield.

One of my mates who is originally from Walsall (his dad is Tesco bags fan) reckons he's a big Liverpool fan but has never been to a game or even shown any inclination to go. Was going on last week about how MOTD was so unfair to the cheeky scousers and when the Wigan game was on first said "Finally, we get more than 30 seconds at the end of the show". I asked him if he was taking the piss and he swore blind Liverpool get no coverage!

  3. Jedi should have a green or blue lightsaber.

Mace Windu's purple lightsaber was initially thought to signify his use of the Vaapad form of lightsaber combat, which in itself is a technique which can lead to the dark side. In reality the purple lightsaber was the colour that Samuel L Jackson asked for!!!

  4. In 1995 at Forest, Dwight Yorke was signing a photo for me when the sky camera was right in both of our faces, I was apparently on the pre game bit they do.

Again at Forest, I took the piss out of Tim Flowers about that goal he conceeded against Collymore (the one that bobbled over his shoulder) I said "Tim, I hope for your sake, there are no divots on the pitch today!" he replied "I hope we don't score 7" (they'd beaten Forest 7-0 or something earlier in the season) I said "Couldn't give a damn mate". He was a good fella actually, spent a while chatting with him about Lars Bohinen.

A lad I was good friends with at school was fanzone commentator for Leicester City, he was also on Soccer AM when he was younger.

My mate used to play in the Sheffield Wednesday band, The Sun used to pay all their travel expenses and hotels to go away with England!

I've lasted 5 balls against one of Leicestershire CCC young quick bowlers. Battered another young LCCC player who bowls spin around the park and through a conservatory roof, racking up £275 of damage!

Local paper printed a story (which mainly consisted of my quotes) on the Kevin Pieterson switch hitting

  5. General

Trivial in comparison to some of the previous posts.

Looking through the fantastic gallery on the official site, I was wondering if it is possible for fans to get hold of high resolution pictures from todays game. Either as a poster/photo or to use as a desktop backgound on a PC or even to have printed on a tee shirt. The picture of Gabby showing his name to the crowd is iconic and I would imagine plenty of Villa fans would quite like to have something like that as a memento.

    Cheers

    Andy

  6. He has only requested a transfer to push through a deal though. If he didn't then West Ham would have to pay him a 'loyalty bonus' when he leaves but by going on the list by request he has effectively waived his right to this fee.

Still, based on the rumours over the last few weeks from various sources, I would be suprised if we were not very keen on signing him.

  7. No, but you don't often have players going for talks and not making the press somewhere, signing or not.

There is no reason to doubt this but sceptically, there is no reason for it to be true.

I know exactly where you are coming from but I think this may be the way we do business now. Less fart, more shit. I certainly hope so.

    So eloquently put!

I'm not doubting you or your mate, but we've seen so many stories like this over the years, only for nothing to happen.
