  1. I like that a lot. This was mentioned a while ago, though I think the general missed my post? Nothing cheesy like 'welcome to villa park', but for me the answer has been here all this time! 'Semper Fidelis' is beautiful and meaningful and if Randy feels the generals flavour I champion this slogan. What do you think Gen? PS. How many 'stars' were you up to before retirement???
  2. Hi Gen, If we do have a logo in or around the player tunnel, can it please be way more imaginitve than anything like, 'Welcome To Villa Park'! I am not suggesting the people responsible for the logo's would show this level of creativity! But maybe some fan's thoughts could assist....After all, even though i've forgotten what your Semper Fidelis means? The Latin sounds damn cool. PS. Supporting this club is seriously entertaining and fulfilling, ignore the naysayer's and those demanding transfer knowledge, you do your job and i'll do mine - support!
  3. Pass To Ashley On The Left Hand Side Pass to Young on the left hand side, (We say) Ashley Young is on the left hand side, He'll skin them up, Give him the ball and watch him dribble to the line, Give him the ball and see him pass it on a dime. (We say) pass the ball to the left hand side, Ashley Young is on the left hand side, He nutmegs mugs, And watch him skin defenders at the by- line Give him the ball he only dazzles and shines. The End
  4. ....& Fidelis = Faithful - I believe? US Marine Corps motto - @Always Faithful'...
  5. Thought the lads were decent value (considering away from home) for the win today though still definitely room for improvement with a tasty right side midfielder, right back and maybe a prolific striker? Blues passed it about quite nicely in patches and I wanted to see more of this from our boys, we seemed to be a bit boot and hoof apart from his majesty ashley who was always trying to play. Good to see Gabs bury them at the death and hope he is turning into our real deal prolific striker we crave. Shame Gardner was not given 20mins like moore to put his foot in, thought it was no risk to replace anyone of Barry, Coker or Petrov all of whom were solid but not sparkling. Away the lads, the future is getting brighter!!!
  6. Hi General and to the Fans, The smoking issue mentioned previously is a serious one, as you have already highlighted. I have worked in several stadiums and know CATEGORICALLY that Health & Safety COMES FIRST! The way in which Arsenal dealt with the matter on Sunday was to remove any fans from the stadium caught smoking - simple. I believe any season ticket holders accosted, were having their pass seized and their cards marked on a three strike rule. Stewards were identifying the offenders and the police assisted with the ejections. The most popular place to smoke is now the toilets! Fulham have a lovely open air section of ground by the river, this too is a no smoking area as it is still a public place! Fans were not ejected due to the stewards in that zone not taking a proactive approach. If our club does'nt get a handle on it with a zero tolerance policy, then like the Gen say's, someone (or authority) else will gladly whip us into line......! AVFC - Back from the Brink!
