  1. He's running JG5 firmware with the sd card / data cache mod hence the high scores. When we get some good firmware along with 2.2 we'll have very high quadrant scores.

Check out the nexus one and nexus one running 2.2 ib the previous page. See the big difference? That's down to firmware

  2. Yes, while you can't with an ipad it looks like you can with a galaxy tab. Vodafone will be selling the tab on a contact, and with the device set to be cheaper than a normal galaxy s that means it could possibly be free.

Though it's certainly not going to be the most portable phone though you can change your sim from the tab to another phone. And of course use hands free kit

I'll just use the internet hotspot feature on my galaxy s to access the internet on the tab. It needs three things for me to be interested in one

    1. Battery life has to be at least 8 hours of video payback.

    2. It has to have a super amoled screen at 1024x600 res.

    3. It must weigh less than 400g and it really should be cheaper than an ipad.

September the 2nd. We'll find out.

  3. It has to dirk, or it could be damaging to android and android tablet sales. It's the first proper android tab to rival the ipad.

But if anyone can make a top class tablet it's samsung. They have the best phone in the world and have made excellent netbooks

  4. It's not meant to fit into your pocket. It's meant to be a tablet device to replace a laptop or netbook.

With the galaxy s weighing a mere 118g I'm hoping the galaxy tab will come in at 300g to 350g. Which is half the weight of an ipad and a quarter the weight of samsungs netbook.

It's meant to be a very portable internet and movie player. It's the first 7 inch tablet, getting out there before a smaller ipad is released.

I currently bring my netbook with me when traveling but this with the right battery life, weight and pricing might be the perfect replacement for it.

    We shall see.

  5. Was about to post about that in here, haven't seen that vieo before though. Been following that tablet for awhile. It better have a 7inch Super Amoled screen and be 1024x600, could be the perfect size for truly portable movie player. I'll have to see one to decide, but it'll all depend on the pricing and batterylife.

My mate wants to get a 10inch one but I'd prefer a netbook when we get to that size.

  6. Pity people need to find a villain in the whole thing, when really there isn't one.

So I take it your hysteria riddled posts about how terrible it was that Randy didn't understand the English game because he was a foreign owner weren't painting him as the "villain" then?

I acted on emotion more than any evidence then, plus in a defensive node about o'neill. But after reflecting on the whole situation I can see it was just a break down of their relationship and the new priorities of the club that lead to the departure. I was wrong in my comments about lerner. I wish others would act the same about o'neill. He did a god job and together they have brought respect back to our club. Both deserve credit for that.

  7. I'd agree with that Brian, you couldn't get a new manager and deny him funds. I do disagree about o'neill though, he was certainly irritated by the milner sale and being denied the money was the last straw.

The deterioration of his relationship with Lerner certainly was a factor. He felt he was no longer being backed, sensed Lerner didn't have total faith in him. When that happens it is time to go. Pity people need to find a villain in the whole thing, when really there isn't one.
