That disallowed goal, ugh. I need to watch it again, but surely one of the worst piece's of decision making seen on a football pitch this weekend.

Everything he touched today turned to shit.

In fairness having seen it again on TV, it wouldn't have gone in. Defender was right next to Kodija and would have cleared

  2. Played through  middle alot more today and we saw the benefit. His link up and cute play around the box with grealish was outstanding.

Really love it if we start V Leeds with that exact line up with grealish in for Gg

  3. For what it's worth, it wasn't telesales. It was from customer relations following a complaint which was passed onto the correct person to deal with complaint.

Also for what it's worth I originally posted in the sheff wed thread but it was moved to here, now I'm being told I'm in the wrong thread.

It does seem to be getting a bit daft...

You're "mate" is full of crap. Why assume the negative against your own club? What Mickey Mouse club only releases prices and tickets for the game and the seas with 3 weeks to go? Which club is playing silly buggers over the allocation? Which club cones from Sheffield? They've all got the same answer. I put the last one in to make it easier for you.

And as for the "mate" comment. Swfc for big games regularly sell the whole leppings Lane end to away fans. They gave over 6k allocations on four occasions last year.

Had an interesting call from villa today. They confirmed they were offered 10% or 2k. Villa chose to take 2k.

She then said villa always ask for the most to assist our loyal supporters.

When I pointed out that 10% would have been 4k, she then trotted out the line from seasons complaints that the club didn't like taking big allocations as if they had a few unsold they had to pay for them.

I pointed out last season's decisions as she stated the club got stung on taking a large allocation away to Swansea. I asked why did they do that but take a half allocation to anfield?! It makes zero sense.

In the end I also asked why, if we were offered 10% or 2k and we chose 2k, then why did we immediately ask for more?

    She had no answer.

Sorry but the club took a half allocation. So don't start accusing me of being naive or negative. It's a fact. I've had discussions with several people inside the club and all have admitted it comes down to not wanting to be leftvwitb a small bill even if it means an extra 1500 fans getting a ticket

Sheff Wed have said on twitter we will be getting more tickets.

    Where have you seen this?

Not on avfc or swfc Twitter??

  7. Why have a load of replies been deleted? I was only highlighting why the club are continuing to take half allocations?

I called ticket office to ask how many more had been requested and noone could answer

  8. Is it too early to say 'I told you so'?!

So after the snippets yesterday about him exaggerating/ lying about his academic qualifications.

He has now lied about his business qualifications.

His only company made a profit of 27 million in 2014 and a loss of 500 million in 2015.

When did Dr Tony become president of company? 2015 according to the HKSE...

Jesus Christ will people wake up now

You see its articles like this that could be exciting.

There is a link there to the family of China's football mad president.

RECON seems to be dealing in alot of state programmes including rural urbanisation and infrastructure in which they will be getting a shit load of government cash.

It's possible that this will see a tonne of revenue directed our way. The Chinese are known secretive whichbdoes lead to money laundering and misappropriation.

But tie this in with reports that Chinese venture capitalists are pouring 8 billion into Birmingham as they see London as over saturated. It could be good long term joined up thinking

Here is a news release on the RECON website (which has numerous Chairman statements from Dr X). Read the About section at the bottom.

It sounds promising, but again. That link to Lotus health shows turnover has dropped from 3 billion to 1.7 billion in four years.

In this efour years they have regularly made yearly losses of over 400 million. Last year was over 500 million loss.

I'm intrigued but still very concerned

    What are those?

That he's Chinese and you don't know much about him yet? I'm yet to find out if he gives a decent hair cut.

The initial statements provided to both clubs.

The mention of how successful they both are at business, without any real evidence to support this.

No online presence and unknown quantity.

As I say, if the statement is true around the companies he owns. There would be documentation on line to confirm.

So far the only thing g most have managed to find is an argument between him and a professor fang arguing Xia had lied / exaggerated his academic achievements.

  12. This is Carson Yeung mark 2 for me.

He owns 5 controlling stakes in the HKSE? - but where is any disclosure or interest reports with him or RECON? He has just bought an internationally known football club, something had to be disclosed.

Employs 35000 people, yet not even a tidbit of information about him anywhere online in 2016. This is apparently a young genius who specialises in technology and investment, yet has no recognisable brand anywhere? Again simply not possible.

I'd love to be positive, I hope it all goes well but I'm not naive. There is more than meets the eye to this one

  13. I am westwoods biggest critic. I don't think he adds anything to the team and think defensively he does massive harm.

but credit where it is due, thought he looked pretty good yesterday. He used the ball well and was better than gana ( who was very poor)

  14.  I went to Liverpool last week and managed to bite my tongue all week choosing to give Sherwood the benefit of the doubt, but I have to say a few things this week!

Its as though Tims arrogance cannot stand these "tactics tim" nicknames and piss takes and he has to prove that he is a tactical genius, by not only coming up with weird and wonderful game plans, but actually different game plans every 45 minutes!

Its no wonder all our new players haven't settled, they don't have a clue what formation they are playing from one minute to the next and who will be playing next to them.

It seemed to start with the blues game, when he made that bizarre full time interview about the horror show first half being all part of the plan to pin them back and it was always the plan to make the two subs at half time (despite admitting 5 seconds earlier that gabby was injured so clearly not pre planned)!

Last week at Liverpool, we had a chance to go to a team low on confidence and pressure a poor back line into mistakes. Instead he set up with Hutton man marking sturridge as a kind of third centre back, forcing Sinclair to effectively play right back! He then clearly instructed all three midfielders to drop deep onto their own back line everytime we lost the ball, thus not putting any pressure on Liverpools weakness. Showing them far too much respect. The first half last week was the worst I had seen from any villa side, including Lambert.

Today was just bizarre. A total formation and personell change, but you know what? After 20 or so minutes we looked ok, It seemed were were contesting. So at Half time, he makes a sub and completely changes the formation again. Is it a coincidence that their goal early in the second half found a gaping hole between two centre backs who 5 minutes previously had been in a back 3?

The he proceeds to just throw on all the creative players in one failed lump.

I genuinely believe there are good players and a good team (minus a striker) in this squad, this guy just cannot see what it is and at the moment, his tactical plan is clearly just one big panic. If it doesn't work brilliantly after 45 minutes, tear it up and get a new one. Its ridiculous

  15. Yes he was at fault for the goal and the booking wasnt great. But lets not get dramatic, he still absolutely skinned the right back and got to byline and delivered dangerous cross, probably our most exciting moment of the game, and in last 15 minutes he covered Richards and Lescott briliantly with three last man interceptions and clearances.

Just needs to cut out the fancy stuff in own half

  16. Some very strange decisions yesterday I have to admit.

WBA were always going to sit deep, and when we had the ball their back four were almost on their own 18 yard line, So to play Gabby ahead of Gestede was a strange tactical decision.

I also felt Gil and Grealish were too far away from eachother, they only crossed paths a handful of times after Sincalir went off and Gil was pushed wider, they were at opposite wings. Didnt make sense as we need on in centre and one out wide so they can interact with each other.

I think when we all watch games, no matter how good we are, we all see passes that we would like to play, whether its a cute round the back pass, a chipped ball over the top or a through ball.

i think the most damning thing I can say yesterday was watching it, when Gil and Grealish had the ball at their feet, even my brain, with dreams of being the new improved paul scholes, couldnt even see an option other than 5 yards either side. The movement of Gabby and gestede was a disgrace. Gabby just didnt look interested

  17. Telling that his free kick at goal in the second half that he put over was greeted by boo's from the Holte.

Think the majority are getting fed up with his poor set pieces

That was at the referee for blowing the whistle while Micah was about to score.

Well that certainly wasnt what I was booing for!! Nor many around me

  18. Ok had an update from club. They explained they took smaller allocation as over the last few years we haven't had a sat 3pm kick off at Anfield, so difficult to tell demand.

they then said over the years they hadn't sold out including one year (3years ago possibly we only sold 900?) which I couldn't really believe?

anyway they told me quite a few tickets have now been returned by the away scheme so there are a few available if you ring up

  19. Spoke with club and they confirmed they took smaller allocation as they need to pay up front. No plans for any further sales.

i have sent a complaint to Nicola keye in regards to this as do not want it repeated for other big away games
