Downing is one of the worst buys ive seen in years. What a pathetic excuse for a player, he cant dribble, he never shoots, his crossing is poor and the worst of all.....he is so weak its embarrasing.

Great defending today. Petrov was excellent, pleased about Delphs performance too, he had a very good first half i thought. Downing is the worst buy ive seen for many seasons, atleast at that price. Since Petrov injured him last season, he seems to be very afraid of getting stuck in and slows down as soon as someone comes near him. Also, crossing is atrocious. Attack was kind of quiet, Gabby shouldve buried the one on one at the end. **** great win!

Another horrible performance against a team that we are supposed to be better than......Downing should really hit the gym asap, ive never seen such a weak player in the PL. And maybe the defence should pay attention to opponents rathen than the ball when defending.

Players like Carew, Davies, Beye, Delfouneso, Sidwell, Delph, Luke Young should definately start. Maybe even Bouma and Albrighton if theyre fit.

And how bad was the ref? As the commentators said, he didnt even look bothered to do his job in the second half. There were some clear yellow cards (Cuellars wrestling move on Rafael, Young poor challenge on Valencia and Rooney poor challenge on Gabby) Not to mention how Brown escaped a yellow card and why Carew wasnt awarded a penalty when Evans clearly held onto his arm with both his hands!

Wow, possibly one of the worst performances ive seen from Villa. Man U got a free ride today, hardly had to run for 90mins despite beeing a man down. Great saves by Friedel, Dunne is class and nice goal by Carlos. We had about four different central midfielders today, the best of them is the one getting subbed...... Downing was abysmal, so was Sidwell. Milner was very poor, horrible passing. We had no desire, no flair and no idea. Oneill was clueless with his "tactics" and the substitutions were boring and as usual, in with Carew and Sidwell......how often do they pay off? Today also showed how much we need a creative central midfielder, because we are one of the most boring and predictable teams in the league when it comes to ideas from midfield. Simply because there are none, apart from the crossing from wings.
