  1. Must admit its grown on me a little but I don't like collars. could have been worse from Macron (look at some of their other efforts!). I'll stick to last seasons for now unless I go mad and buy the away!

Just tuck in the collar mate!

  2. I went down to Villa Park today to check out the festivities! It was nice to see so many people turn out on such a horrible rainy day. The Mini stadium tour was fully enjoyable, highlight was the tour guide slating Alex Mcleish and rejoicing in the news he had heard that Lambert had told Hutton to F**K off!

The boss spoke about playing football from now on "The right way" and how the fans would play an important part in bringing success back to Villa Park. He sounds well and truly up to the challenge, and I believe every single word which comes out of his mouth......Lambert's Lions indeed!

But the highlight of the day, was checking out the new kits in the flesh, after first view of the home kit, I wasn't entirely sold. However, after picking one up and looking at the quality of the item I was blown away, some superb little details from the embossed lion, the AVFC on the back of the neck, and the collar you can tuck in! Not to mention how brilliant it feels on. Macron have done themselves proudly and I for one, am looking forward to a good few years with them designing our kits. I will be first in line for when the away shirt is released, as I didn't realise how much I liked it until seeing it in the flesh.

So yeah, brilliant day! Thank you to Aston Villa and all involved.

  3. Molde representatives now say they are unaware of any meeting between Røkke and Solskjær today. They also confirm that they have not recieved any approach from Villa. So, Solskjær is traveling on Røkkes jet without the club informed.

Are you trying to say Solskjaer has hijacked the plane?

    Who you gonna call

Blade! Ready to die?............I was born ready really bad person!

  4. I will be honest, I am not too keen on RDM personally, but not because I think he is a bad manager. I cannot believe how anyone can state that Lerner would mess up again if he was to appoint RDM. This is a man who has just won the Champions League with Chelsea for crying out loud. People will argue that Chelsea have a great squad, but this is an ageing Chelsea side which is definitely not as formidable as it once was. Ok, they still have match winners. But, Di Matteo deserves enormous plaudits for what he's done. When he took over from AVB, he had a squad that was dejected, deflated and low on confidence. He instantly instilled new found belief in the side. Maybe it is his Chelsea connections that has engaged the players to him so quickly and bought into his ethos on how to get the job done...Whatever it is, he has to be commended.

I personally don't want him because I believe we need a new, fresh, young manager who is just starting on the managerial ladder and is hungry to manager Aston Villa FC. RDM may fit into parts of that criteria, but he certainly has the biggest achievement in football under his belt now. Would he buy into a new and completely different project....I'm not so sure.

But that is why I want OGS. It is clear from his interviews and the other possibilities in the Prem that he has turned down, that he has great respect for Aston Villa as a club; our history and what we stand for. That is the type of person I want in charge of our club. Someone who is hungry to start a new project with the full support of the board, the fans and the City. I hope we see him here soon. If it isn't OGS, I will support whoever we appoint; but OGS just seems to fit the brackets perfectly.

Nicely put dude! Couldn't agree more.

  5. Milenko, just so I get some perspective, who's bigger over there OGS or aHa ?

In the 80s aHa, middle of 90s -> present day OSG

I think that aHa actually might have been more popular in the rest of the world more than over here. aHa have had multiple breaks other bands and solo projects along the years but their farewell tour was a big deal.

Any way in my world OSG is bigger, but anyone who makes it big outside our country is a huge star here and gets a lot of attention. Remember it is only five million of us. :D

Satyricon are waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy bigger than both of them

I'm more of a Darkthrone, Grimfist and Gorelord man, myself.

That's it then! If OGS is appointed, we're coming out of the tunnel to "Transylvanian Hunger" rocking some corpse paint. ;) Would scare the shit out of the opponents if done right aka not like Abbath from Immortal. ;)

  6. I guess Ole is pretty pissed off at the Molde directors and owner at this point. The only one that can prevent him from coming to VP now is Randy. What time is it in the states now? He should be dragged kicking and screaming out of bed this instant, and be told to call OGS offering him a sweet deal - or else...

It's evening in the US depending what State he's in right now it's between about 6 and 8pm..

And well, I imagine OGS would be in bed right now, and I know I wouldn't want to become the manager of any club if some **** disturbed me from my sleep.

  7. Just tweeted Jack Woodward!

    Chris Lioneye ‏@C_Lioneye

@JackWoodwardAV Jack! Get on the blower to Randy now and tell him that we all want OGS as #AVFC manager! #MakeItHappen

More of this sort of thing.

    Jack responded to one of my tweets;

    Jack Woodward Villa ‏@JackWoodwardAV

@C_Lioneye Ha ha thanks Chris top man!

He had better make that bloody phone call, either to randy, or to somebody who knows how. *shakes fist*
