    Is Berhino any good ?

     

    I know he play in the PL but i only watch villa so i dont know very much about the other teams and their players.

    he started last season really well but went really shit after january  Pulis joined.

    Gestede and Vertout need time to get fit and used to how Sherwood wants to play.

    So saying things such as they're not up to scratch after 2 games (or in Gestede's case, two subsitute appearances) is poor form.

    Back on topic. Experienced CB and a striker please. Afobe from Wolves would be a good investment imo.

    Not wanting to start a Grealish debate but Clark could quite easily be classed as English. In a nationality sense rather than in a footballing way.

     

     

    I think he is talking about Gabby.

    This guy claims Liverpool are in pole position.  

     

    Mind, he appears to be the only person reporting it that way and he's a "journalist" on twitter, so a huge pinch of salt is required..  

     

    However, if true, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Stoke and our interest was released to hurry Liverpool along.

    I loved his performance against Liverpool at Anfield.  

     

    He got stuck into Balotelli in the first half which resulted in him sulking on the wing.  Could have been sent off if the ref noticed, but it was something we lacked at the back, a bit of nastiness at CB.

     

    He's experienced and a good player to have in the squad in an area we are lacking in experience.

    The other looks like Adebayor wearing a hat to me. He was wearing one in the jacuzzi shot of him at BMH (albeit a different colour).

    Adebayor is 6 inches taller than Veretout. Doesn't look like there is that much of a difference in height to me .

     

     

    You're probably right.  We'll just have to wait and see.

     

    F5 is going to be burned out tonight.

    Nixon was only confident as he had direct links to the player's agent here.  I don't think such a link is evident here so he won't be as in the loop.

     

    That said, it's always worrying when a highly rated player may be signing.  Always a concern of being gazumpped.

    He's just getting his information from an avfc fan on twitter if you look further down he asks someone what bmh is. The main guy has just said they want more money which makes sense with Nixon's comments. Don't think this one is a goer. Club are just trying to raise an auction and vet spurs Liverpool bidding

     

    You mean like Ayew and Amavi didn't happen because of exactly the same thing?

    If the player is at BMH and its clear we want him.  I'm sure a agreement will be reached.

    Everyone knows we have money to spend and we try to bleed us dry. It happens. That's what bascially happened when Liverpool sold Sterling and bought Benteke of us.

     

    We didn't really bleed Liverpool dry considering Sherwood commented on the release clause just after the close of the season.  We just stuck to our guns and refused to budge under the constant media pressure to do so.

     Well that Max Jacobs fella was spot on with Ayew, another for people who love shooting down things just because it's on twitter!

     

    He also tweets an awful lot of stuff that doesn't happen.  

     

     

     

     

    As has been said on his page, and would be common sense in the game, of course there will be things that don't come off, or change! He also admits when something is off, it's just like any other form of reporting, even the ACTUAL news channels occasionally get things wrong. If it is not someone just on the windup or trolling I see know reason for the hate on people speculating or getting information  from sources they deem to be reliable. Isn't that kind of what makes the transfer window etc. exciting? We would be all going mental on here if we never heard any speculation.

     

     

    My point is that he seems to just tweet things that have appeared in the papers overseas, or have been widely speculated upon. 

     

    I very much doubt that he would have inside knowledge, or links, to all the rumours / deals, that he tweets about.

    People had a got at Lamber for no plan B.  Well we had Benteke and Bent.

     

    Now we have Adebayor and Ayew,  so we've gone from plan b to plan A.

    On the BBC live thread here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/33247636at 11:32am they talk about Diaby having a WBA medical and also their other targets. They say they are trying to deals for Rickie Lambert, Matt Phillips and  Ciaran Clark -

     

    If we sold Clark and Baker who is going in defence, Jed Steer?

     

    Bill Howell, who covers the Baggies of the Mail, believes that Clark will sign a new deal with us.

    Interesting to see the wildly differing approaches between the two takeovers.

     

    WBA keeping fans informed through the press, whilst our lips remain tightly sealed.  Makes you wonder what is actually going on, if anything.

    He said we were going to be signing Darder and even the overseas news has dried up on that one.

    Personally I doubt that someone who tweets as much 'news' as he does is truely itk. Instead he's probably looking through news sites and tweeting any little snippet.
