    When the manager goes to watch the player, it normally means the scouts have done their bit and now he's a serious target. Much like when O'Neill used to be seen watching Young at Watford games..

    Jagielka for £6 million would be a waste. He's awful in midfield. Average in defence. And doesn't play right back.

    Yea, I think the Yakubu stat was true up until about 6 months ago, then Drogba and Rooney hit purple patches. Think the top 5 scorers in The Prem in the last 3 seasons are Henry, Lampard, Rooney, Drogba, Yakubu.... Not bad company, especially when you consider he plays in the most lacklustre Boro side ever and still scores goals.

    In the last three years, only Henry has scored more league goals than Yakubu. Who else gives us that then?

    Yakubu wants to leave Boro. We should be in for him.

    We didn't get the benefit of playing in the UEFA Cup and a long cup run. He got 10 league goals, compared to Gabby's 9....Gabby played on the right wing for most of the season and didn't take penalties.

    You did again. You took Defoe out of the team magically. TRL is right, you have to take into account that Spurs wouldn't have played with 10 men if you take Defoe's contribution out...
