  1. General, please pass on my (and I'm sure all the fans) thanks to the team, manager, owner. Europe or no Europe this season, I am absolutely proud of my football team, both on and off the pitch. The passion shown from Randy, MON and the players is incredible, the integrity of this club has been retained and at last I feel as if my club are doing doing enough for both its supporters and the community. The mozaics, the Holte Hotel, the free travel, the scafs, the Holte flag, everything. The club are really giving and in return the fans are turning up, the team are performing brilliantly and every level of the club should be proud.

Oh, and 'doing' your rivals home away, with a particulary emphatic 5-1 at home is pretty good going. And I know that the club wont rest on its Laurels.

    Up the Villa!

  2. To be honest, it depends how you judge boxing. Hopkins is like Chelsea, **** boring but effective. Joe was hardly outboxed, there were very few times were he looked like he was gonna get nailed. Joe tried to win that fight, Hopkins tried to not lose it... for me he was more aggresive, worked harder and probably got more shots in (but less decisive ones).

Didnt live up to its billing to be honest, was hoping for a KO.

  3. Hi general. Just checked out your Wiki page, I never realised you were such an important, and decorated individual to the Marine Corp. I dont know what I assumed of your army career, just didnt think of it. Was just wondering on a personal note, how are you finding your duties with Villa compared to those of the Marine Corp? Obviously the decision making isnt quite as important, but still seems to be a very important and hectic job especially when you could be enjoying Pina Coladas on some remote caribbean island. Kudos!

  4. Absolutely, the problem is MON not being able/capable of finding or convincing the players to join Aston Villa!

Agreed. Lerner has back MON so far, and if we get European qualification I can see Lerner giving O'Neill as much as he wants. The point however is MON has tried to be prudent thus far. I really dont care about the amount spent on players, as long as we get the players we need and they are of a sufficient quality.

  5. Easiest/cost effective/semi-decent dish I do is roasted cajun chicken, roasted mediteranian veg and couscous. Easy as, and always tastes good, plus a few portions of your 5 a day ;)

Those fajita kits are pretty useful too. Not that cheap for what they are though.

Edit- Baked Potatoes, easiest thing ever to cook.

  6. General,

Congrats on the signing of Dante Stallworth for the Browns! A seasoned pro, and I think will turn out to be a great bit of business, the Browns are certainly on the up. After everything that has happened in their history this is great progress. Villa and the Browns are both very comparable sports teams. I hope Villa can make some comparable signings to Stallworth in the transfer window. Onwards and upwards! Thankyou for your continued support, you dont know how much it means to us fans.

  7. It depends really, what are the circumstances. If it was a case of if you choose football, sex doesnt exist I'd choose that. If it was, if you choose football you'll never have sex again, I'd choose sex.

  8. General Krulak here:

    1. BELIEVE ME, I have heard you. I have communicated directly with Randy and he hears you too! My sense is that every owner in the Premiership is also hearing from their fans...the difference is that I have read your comments and passed them directly to Randy. First and foremost, Randy is not a money-grubbing foreigner who doesn't care about his Club. He, like me, loves England, loves English Football, and loves Aston Villa Football Club (I think he has shown that time and again). He would not do something that would hurt his Club or English Football. Part of "exploring" is to see and hear the feedback coming our way...we have certainly got that. I would ask one thing...trust Randy. He will not do anything that will hurt AVFC.

Thanks general, its great to know that Randy gets fan feedback, the one thing that I love about the US is something you mentioned a few posts back, quality service for the fan! Easily the best customer service in the premiership!

And now for a question regarding the Browns. What do the team and the coaches etc do during the off season over there, I realise there is a draft system, but do the coaches 'scout' players in the same way that we do here? And also, due to the good season that the Browns had, how high up on the draft picks will they get? I'm just getting in American football and enjoyed the Superbowl alot, all my friends are 'glory supporters' and have gone for the 'big' teams. Due to Randy and his regime, I'm Browns all the way!

  9. Newcastle for me, just because it would be so funny. So funny, it would be hard to contemplate how funny it would actually be. And plus as well, we wouldnt be able to take 6 points off BCFC every season if they got relegated.

  10. Passed first time about 2 years ago, I was a crap driver when I did pass though. Like all the education I've ever been through I learnt to pass the test not to drive. Theory was a piece of piss, press the button when there is a hazard (there always is) and answer easy questions about which side of the road we drive on.

  11. General, have you ever considered becoming an agony aunt/uncle (Dont know whether they're called this in the US)? Kinda like Doctor Phil I suppuse but it would be 'General Krulak'. Perhaps you could get a spot in the match day program called 'Ask the General'? ;)

Good luck to the Browns, the transformation there in the last few seasons has been remarkable, fingers crossed Villa can emulate that. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all that work hard for the Villa and all VTers.

Villa 2- 0 Man City. Carew to score first, put your life savings on it.

  12. Was bored to looked into some forums. I found this a tad funny..

I'd rather we beat villa and got relegated than lose twice and stay up.

Anyone who says otherwise isn't a true blue.

    Its always been that way

This indicates the extent of their ambition. I've never lived in Brum, so for me the local pride thing isnt as much of an issue and thus I see the game as just another 3 point, but a very important three points. Reading from most of these Brummie lads shows how much it really means, its a massive game of football for everyone involved. But leaving that behind, bragging rights mean absolutely nothing when you play in the championship...

Villa fans want Europe, but understand this is difficult. Small Heath fans want to beat Villa, but dont seem to realise that staying up is much more important.

  13. Not sure if this has been asked before, but as there are a lot of Cleveland Browns fans on here these days? Has anyone at the club thought about selling some Browns merchandise on the online shop, or if not, do you think it is something you may look into?

Certainly a great idea. 'American football' is becoming more and more popular over here, I watched my first game the other day, my university team who now play in a league for the second year. Im always told the Browns are rubbish and are often referred to as 'The Clowns'! Glad to hear they are on the verge of greatness though, best of luck and no hard feelings from the Villa faithful, we know you're with us.

Thanks for all your work with the fans general, you wouldnt believe how much it is appreciated. You're a legend in the making as far as we're concerned.

Heres to a Browns, Villa double!
