By the way, to those who went, was it a good day?
My mate just described it as one of the most amazing days yet we lost so I find it hard to understand that statement.
It was a brilliant day Joe, the villa fans were awesome and the atmosphere was good, I hope it sounded as good on TV as all we could hear were villa fans.
I know we lost and I am gutted but it was a really good day!
Gotta agree

Just in from wembley, never seen a worse refereeing display in my life, to not send vidic off even tho he's the last man was shocking!

Anyone going from Moor St?
We was until they changed the timetables from there, now going from snow hill as the tickets are valid from there aswell so ive been told
How have they changed?
+ if you go on the chiltern site, most are either going from new st or snow hill
-
I'm confused here, I booked mine through London-Midland leaving from moor st changing High Wycome. Will the changes still apply?
Check the london midland website, as it might just be chiltern that have changed there timetable
-
My super off-peak is from moor st to Wembley but was thinking of getting on at snow hill instead because of the queues for trains etc.
does anyone know if snow hill is a Compulsory Ticket Area will I be able to get on at snow hill?
Well chiltern have changed the timetables from moor st on sunday earliest train leaving moor st is now 10:43 as we went for the 9:13 from moor st, but now getting the 9:10 from snow hill as the tickets are valid to use at snow hill as 1 of my mates phoned up and asked what was going on

I was one of the people who booked the 8.43 train for Moor Street direct to Wembley. However, I've noticed that the timetables have changed (which I haven't been notified of either!) and after a discussion with Chiltern, they're now telling me my ticket is valid for the first service from New Street which will be arriving at Wembley at 11.11am, and that there is no 8.43 service from Moor Street at all.
Just thought I'd post this encase anyone else was unsure as I was!
They hadnt told no-one, luckily we found out before we went to moor st on the sunday, we are now getting the 9:10 from snow hill to marylebone

Does anyone know if there are still train tickets left, going from Snow Hill to Wembley? Should be one hell of an atmosphere on them trains!
Have a look on http://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/

One of my mates last night told me there was no trains going from moor st, only at 10:43 on the sunday and checked there website and it says that and on the updated timetable, so is everyone now going from snow hill

Just been told that some of the underground will be shut for the weekend. Anyone know any more about this? Sorry if its been mentioned before.

Bought two Super Off Peak returns with Chiltern from Moor Street. According to their website they'll be running extra trains from Snow Hill. Received tickets and they say from Birmingham Stations to Wembley Stadium, so is it possible to leave from either Moor Street or Snow Hill?
Also, I don't know whether this is true but I've heard that if you catch the train to Wembley after 9.15am on the day of the final from Moor Street, it's direct to Wembley, and no change. When I booked online it said one change, at Gerrards Cross. Anyone else come across this?
Your on the same train as me and quite a few others... what time does your's depart?
To answer your questions... yes you can depart from either Moor Street or Snow Hill station in Birmingham and.. as far as i'm aware we will have to change once to get on a different line into Wembley Station. But if we don't.. hey-ho, even better!
Not sure mate. Although I selected a time when I booked online, I think you can leave when you want because its off peak.
Just checked my ticket aswell, no time on there. I want to get there with a bit of time to spare, take it all in like
Yours change at Gerrards Cross too?
4 of us have got them tickets, we are getting the 9:13 train from moor st straight to marylebone, then onto wembley about 1ish
-
I know chiltern arent allowing alcohol onto there trains
-
There's a revised timetable on Chiltern Railways website, with extra trains and most if not all stopping at Wembley stadium. Staying on to Marylebone though for a few drinks on Baker St.
Me too, I hope there will be plenty of Villa round there
Yeh we are doing that aswell
-
As my mates have now decided to go from moor st to Marylebone, just checked the chiltern website for £23.50 you get Super Off-Peak Day Travelcd, so would that mean we can use that to get from marylebone to wembley for free and back?
-
you going on the saturday or sunday? we can either get the 8.43am train or the one a hour later. Sunday morning that is.
Down on the sunday, 4 of us going as soon as we book
-
We are getting the 10:40 as the 10:10 isnt available on the site so went for the 10:40

Bit expensive, esp as we paid £19.50 return from snow hill to wembley

Aint to confident going against there 5man midfield tonight
-
RBCUK - that deal was with Chiltern - you cant get it on the website for some reason - I had to go to the station in person and the bloke there printed them off from his machine.
Ah right cheers for that mate, will have a word with the others and see what they reckon about going from solihull instead of snow hill, does it matter how many are in the group to get that deal?
-
Just booked 8 train tickets - Solihull - Wembley £15.70 each!! Fine bargain - you need to ask for a Group Saver and it works out at this. Thatl do me fine!
Who's that with and what website?
-
I've been using this http://www.buytickets.chilternrailways.co.uk/ticketmatrix.aspx?Command=TimeTable
Looking at the super off peak return £39, but i'd like an open ended ticket if possible!
I'll say again. A super Off Peak Return is valid at ANYTIME on the Saturday or Sunday. This is a FACT. I have just looked again and the cheapest return on Sunday with Chiltern is £19.50. You have to leave from Snow Hill and Marylebone but you can get whatever train you want as it is a weekend and all tickets are valid as someone said earlier in the thread.
This will work best for people who are travelling over the weekend only. If you are travelling back on the Monday then you'll have to get the specific trains.
If you get the 8:40 from Snow Hill then you can be at Wembley Station by 11:05
http://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/tickets-and-fares/ Under Off Peak.
Looking at the details the super off-peak return is from Snow Hill, change at Gerards Cross and straight into Wembley Stadium. That will be my travel arrangements organised then.
Does anyone know when any official club travel is announced?
Think we are getting the 10:40 from snow hill and the 7:45 from wembley not bad for £19.50 return, saves the hassle of driving and finding a place to park

Did what we needed to do, was to win the 1st leg, but did sidwell touch the ball when he come on?
He did AND he hassles, hurried and annoyed their olayers doing a professional job.
