  1. Best result it will take at least three years, that is if the chemo works well and his body responds well to it. If his body doesnt respond to the chemo he will need a bone marrow transplant and then i dont know time wise. But i believe his career as a footballer at this level is over no mather what, its a rocky road and it is up and down, and suddenly you can get an infection and bloodlevels fall down and you get weak and anemic again and so on, even after over two years of treatment and you have been stable for over a year, its difficult and when you get tired it takes a long time to get the strength back. Its like you no longer have any reserves or back up.

I guess players are well insured these days and also the clubs as well.

  2. Remember the Euros starts June 8th, that also means a lot of players are busy and will have a small vacation after the euros --> less time to negotiate (players wanting to wait til after the euros, agents busy and also wanting to wait, clubs also) and prices inflates if players do well and so on.

We need big changes, players need replacing, time might be important...

I dont want to hear that "yeah, but the players had so little time with the team during pre-season" again.

You're assuming we're going to be signing players who are involved with the Euros?!

I've got it on good authority that we're signing Jermaine Defoe.

Heard that they are going to redecorate his hotel room so he is out, but unfortunately someone has broken one of the chairs and the other chairs are nowhere to be found, but rumours says that one is furthest away in the closet all pinned down by trash from PF office and the last chair is lost in space with Kermit the frog.

  4. Let's get Dunga and a ****-tonne of Brazilian players we've never heard of, just for the laughs.

Didnt you get the memo? Brazil is keeping all their talents for themselves until they have hosted the fifa 2014 world cup.

But Dunga can build on what we have now with some needed investments and add some flair after the world cup.

But Dunga is known for a defencive style of football, i believe he is critisized for it in Brazil? (i guess thats defencive according to Brazilian standards though)

  5. Its Poyet, announcement tomorrow...

Seriously i have no idea, but i am actually excited this summer cause i believe things will change to the better (well, hopefully it cant be any worse), and i cant remember the last time i was excited about something going on at the club (propably the signing of Bent).

I actually tought the games last season (under McLeish) got more and more boring to watch as the season progressed and in the end i was almost happy with ties because at least we didnt loose and i didnt even believe we were able to win a game.

So to end this rant, i would like to finish with the something i picked up from the X-files: I WANT TO BELIEVE :)

  6. Ok, longshot and unproven but this has to be one of the more up and coming young managers in europe... My suggestion Heiko Vogel

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heiko_Vogel

They did really well against Man United but can't base him entirely on that

The 75% win ratio is pretty good though.

Althou it will be interesting to see if he can do it without Xhaka and Shaqiri

He takes them along with him and they play for Aston Villa next season, obvious :D

Too late..gone to Moenchengladbach and Bayern.

    I need to update too Milenko27 2.0

  7. Just as a point of interest, have a look at the managerial career of Alan Pardew:

    - sacked by West Ham

    - hounded out by the fans at Charlton

    - sacked by Southampton

    - Geordies absolutely distraught when he was signed for Newcastle.

    - had Newcastle within a whisker of a CL place this season.

Many on this site would have shit kittens if we had brought him in to replace O'Neill or Houllier.

Yet some would probably give their left nut to have him down at the Villa now.

As everything in life, timing. The right man at the right time...

AVB did wonders at Porto, didnt stand a chance at Chelsea, sometimes it might just be psychologi and chemistry within a group.

32 Games.. 24 Wins.. 6 Draws.. 2 Losses.. Damn impressive.

Two of those against Man. Utd. one of the losses against Benfica, knows how to develop young players and getting them ready. But might be difficult to get him away from Basel though, but it is young up and coming managers like him we need to go for IMO.
