Hi General, Like many other posters to this site, I also wish to offer my support to Randy, MON and yourself for the fantastic job being done down at the Villa. We all know it was going to take some time to fix things up thanks to the previous regime under Doug Ellis and much of what is being posted on this site now is fans being unpatient as no one wants to return back to the dark old days we had under Deadly. I am proud to be a Villa fan and living in NZ with a Chelsea supporter living next door to me, having the bragging rights over our two games last season and then finishing 6th in the table was huge leap forward for the club. Now we are in Europe and how great will it be having European football back down at Villa Park!! I too wish there was more transfer activity and it would be great if we could attract some of the bigger name players to the Villa and I know it will happen. I like many others are upset that Barry is going but he gave the club 10 good years and he is simply thinking about his career whether we like it or not, if he rots on the reserves bench then that was his call to make. So general I am sorry for many of the negative posts on this site, but as fans we all want our club to be great once more. What Randy and MON have done for the club so far and the relationship you have with us fans is something special that many of the other Premier clubs will be jealous of. So keep up the good work and UTV A couple of questions - Does Randy have any other footballing interest in the US besides the Browns? I see from the odd game shown on ESPN that it would appear that the interest in football/soccer has returned to the States (especially with Beckham playing over there) so I was wondering if Randy sees that a chance for Villa to jump on the back of and build up our club profile in the States?

Hi General, I often don't post on the site but enjoy reading others comments and views and I am sure that you can understand that at times us Villa fans are a demanding lot, but we appreciate what a great job you, MON and Randy are doing at the Villa. Its been long overdue and its great to see Villa back amongst the top 6 clubs again and its amazing just how much the Villa's profile has risen since Randy has taken over the club. Even in New Zealand now Villa are starting to make the newspapers and its good to see its for all of the right reasons. Keep on the good work, during the summer and lets build on this season, I have faith in MON and Randy that they want to make the club great again and although at times there may be things that will upset some of us (like ST prices, the possibility of losing our best players to the Big 4 sides), you want the same as the rest of us to make this club great again. The reason for my post is that my son was playing football on the weekend and had two sides wearing Man U and Spurs strips on other fields. It would be magic to see a Villa kit out there for a change! So I was wondering if the club would be interested in providing a playing strip to my sons under 15 side for this season or next? Is this something the club does or would be interested in considering? Is there a contact person that I could email? Cheers Mike

Hi General, Any news on when the new upgrade Official Site will be up and running? Fantastic result over the weekend and it was a pleasure to see Randy in the crowd and for him to see the Villa win such a big game. As a Villa fan I find it embarrassing at times the amount of flak you RL & MON have copped over the past few months, but I can assure you that its only from fans wanting the best for their team. We all appreciate what is going on behind the scenes to make our club great again and I thank you for being so approachable on this site. UP THE VILLA

General, Hopefully now with the Randy/MON influence that Villa can return back to its former glory rather than its current run down state after years of disinvestment by the previous board and Chairman. The other day I watched highlights of Villa's European Cup campaign and can't wait for those days to come back to Villa Park. All Villa fans yearn for those days to return and simply I cant thank you enough for keeping us regularly posted and for replying back to our questions so fast. We appreciate your honesty and its great to hear about what is planned and all of the good work going on behind the scenes. Once I again I thank you and keep up all of the good work.

Reading recent newspaper reports it sounds like Bellamy will be leaving Liverpool over the summer. We all know that he is an absolute nutter, but if MON manage to get him to produce the goods for Celtic could he get him to do the same for Villa? He is a proven goalscorer, but its the baggage that he brings with him to every club he has played for. Could it be worth say a 5million bid?

General, Following on your comments on the official website upgrade. Is it possible that extras to the improved site could be added to include more screensavers, desktop backgrounds & themes, downloads for your mobile (ringtones, themes) etc all things that a Villa fan can download and have on their computer or mobile. If this is not possible on the official site could there be a link to say a sister site which is more fan friendly and encourages fan participation on an ongoing basis with the running of monthly competitions regular giveaways etc. Just a few thoughts late Monday night NZ time!!

Hello General, Living in NZ unless the Villa games are on TV we are unable to get any other coverage. I used to be able to listen to the match commentary on the Official AVFC Site until this moved to the Villa World site a couple of years ago. If the cost to be a Villa World member was cheaper I may consider joining but with the time difference (meaning most afternoon games are played 3-4 in the morning NZ time) and the poor NZ exchange rate this is unlikely to happen. Are we ever likely to have match commentary/Villa Radio on a free to air website? Other than the obvious reason (money) why is there the need for the Villa World site surely the club is better served by promoting its official site as the number one site for the team? Could something be done for local and international fans by having game commentary made available? Would appreciate your thoughts on this?
