Or maybe rational thinking people are prepared to give it more than just a couple of weeks since the season finished before we start questioning the transfer policy. It's ridiculous to question randy at this stage in the year just like it was on the 3rd of january when similar things were being posted. This makes me go crazy! WHO QUESTIONS LERNER OR MON? I dont...but I still worry about the club. Is that such a shocking thing to do? you said yourself your questioning the clubs transfer policy, we surely thats questioning randy and mon as they are the 2 main people involved in our transfer policy. Because its his opinion and just because its not happy go lucky, doesn't make it any less valid than yours. I didn't see that the rules had changed, that you were not aloud to post negative stuff in the transfer thread! i never said the rules had changed or that you can't post negative things. I clearly said your entitled to do both as much as you want. I just don't get why you'd choose to be like that and what your achieving by constantly expressing this negative view.

Why is it? You won't get an answer untill the end of the transfer window, so why start moaning and being negative 3 months before that time comes?

So let me get this straight, if i think we wont sign someone (some would say being realistic) that is being negative? Ok right have you ever said we wont sign anyone? Can nobody say they think we wont sign anyone because that is being negative? What if someone suggests we might sign Henry and people say no chance, is that being negative or realistic? What would you say? So no negative posts aloud on this thread is that correct? If you have anything negative save it for another thread we dont want that nonsense on here, that type of thing? Your obviously entitled to your opinion and to post as much as you like but i don't see what you are accomplishing. people aren't sugessting players like henry, Sneijder and players like him are quality but not in the henry league. We have a billionnaire owner, a respected manager, the club are saying all the right things and in january they showed they mean business. I don't see how anyone can possibly be negative about possible transfers this summer.

maybe not panic but in the last 3 pages i've read and ontop of that jez we have the pleasure of you telling us that virtually every decent player we are linked with won't come. It might not be panic but it's a stupid negative attitude

To be fair some have. I just don't understand why people make such a big deal over who we get linked with in the press, most of it is absolute bull shit. Why don't we wait untill bids are made public before we decide that certain players will never come to us or are to shit for us.

disagree with that, whenever i've seen him he doesn't look like he'd shy away from a tackle. I remember against chelsea he had some teeth knocked out and was still running around going for balls 100% committed. I think parker is a good player and i think he would compliment barry well in the middle.

a player gets linked to a club and people say we've missed out, but i guarantee if the same player was linked to us those same people would probably be telling us we had no chance of getting them anyway. This thread is getting ridiculous.

you might think taylor is nothing more than a squad player but mon might think he is more than just that. I haven't seen enough of the lad to fully judge but i do trust MON when it comes to bringing players in. If barry is to play centre mid next season we need a proper left sided player, i don't think berger has a whole season in him and i'm not sure it's maloneys best position so IMO taylor would be an improvement on what we already have.

with taylor in midfield with barry and young we would have a real goal scoring threat from midfield.

Basically my thoughts on the subject too. TBH the price doesn't bother me that much. I don't think MON has been given a specific budget to work to so i don't think paying £8 million for taylor will stop us from getting other players. If MON wants Taylor and Randy is prepared to pay what ever it costs to bring him in then that can only be a good thing.

TBH i've never seen much of him apart from his wonder goals, i know he is a pretty good defender but is he fast? can he go past people? I kinda hoped MON would bring in a similar player to young to play on the left.

why do people want geremi? This is a guy who has been more than happy to just play the odd 1 or 2 games and pick up his large wages every week. Not the kind of player i want coming to aston villa.

i agree, i'm a fan of petrov. But i think barry will be first choice in centre mid and althought i think petrov did an ok job in the holding role i don't think thats his strength so i think MON will bring in someone of real quality to play that position.

i think gardner looks a superb prospect but i think we need to bring in a real quality defensive midfield player to partner Barry I'd also like to see a fast skillfull left footed player similar to young to play on the left that way we would have great attacking options down both flanks. TBH it doesn't leave much room for petrov, but then again i think if we want to have a strong squad next season it's nice to have problems like that. Throw in a right back, distin on a free, boruc in goal and bent/viduka upfront and i'll be a very happy chappy.

would be usefull as a squad player, i'd rather distin on a free though.

although i rate defoe very highly i still believe gabby or luke could do a similar job and i don't think he is the right sort of striker we need. IMO i'd like to see viduka brought in on a free. He can do a similar role to carew and score goals. I'd be happy to see any front 2 combo from a group of viduka/carew/moore/gabby

You might not like it, but it's how all players are judged. It's always done on how many goals have been scored in a total amount of appearances. i know, i just don't think thats a fair analysis
