Realistic,  it’s Newcastle. We share an almost similar journey and predicament

    relegated together

    both been Steve Bruced

    Highly ambitious new owners

a few struggling seasons back in the premiership

massive improvement after a new manager.

both have qualified for Champions League.

    both are struggling with PSR

both want CL qualification again next season.

They might not work out as our direct rivals next season, but they’re are definitely our closest foil

Both are in a one-club city with no local rivals.

Is buying a Switch before the new one comes out still worth it lol

I'd say not really as its now 7 years old and in computing terms that's a whole generation behind.

But depends how much you are into gaming, how much you have to spend, and whether graphics and older games bother you.

Idk Heck was giving it large in January saying if one of the word removed clubs want to purchase our players they'll have a difficult time and perhaps we'd purchase from them instead. Idk seems to me like he's pretty confident we don't have to make sales to meet psr.

Heck is a glorified commercial manager. He's not going to get involved in who we are buying or selling or how close we are to PSR. That's Monchi's job.

The club has 2.2 million fans on Instagram, so again being generous to 'regular' fan's let's reduce that to 2 million.

There's probably double that amount of fan's worldwide who follow Villa, bit merchandise and provide clicks on links etc. However, let's ignore this and leave it at 2 million fan's.

The 100,000 match day fan's still only equates to 5% of the fan base that Villa can try and generate money from.

Realistically, this number is way lower. Especially when the club will want to attract 'plastic' fan's from around the world.

As much as he is annoying a certain set of fan's, the club won't really care and Heck won't make decisions based on these fan's feelings.

Heck said in one of his recent interviews that Villa currently had 300 million fans.

Whether anyone believes him or not is a different question.

My seat number has changed by 2 which suggests they've squeezed in 2 extra rows of seats to my right which makes sense as there are 2 aisles between me and the right end of the Holte. They've probably squeezed an extra seat into each aisle

How will people get to their seats if all these aisles are disappearing?

Terrace view tickets are £1k more than a standard season ticket in the Holte 😅 and you come off the standard waiting list.  That's a big commitment.

So around £1,800 for a season ticket of Terrace View?  £95 a game.

Is Lower Grounds a similar price?

Thats not a bad price actually, buying tickets match by match in zone 1 is going to be around £70 a match.

So for someone who can’t get a season ticket but will attend the majority of matches, it’s a pretty decent deal.

Slytherin for me 🤣 it's such a lovely game, I hope they expand more for the sequel and give more options for combat and perhaps places to visit and see.

Is there going to be a sequel? Or just hoping for one?

Ive just finished the first trial out of four.  Feels like maybe halfway through the game?

Emery is worth every penny and still somehow is earning less then Digne😉

I wonder if that is his salary before or after his new contract?

    I already mentioned Rogers.

McGinn, Grealish pretty much count as a 'long time ago' don't they or do you want to start throwing Dwight Yorke into the mix as profitable transfers?

Philogene's 5 mil - not really going to cover Kamaras wages for even one year - Archer is coming back isn't he so until sold permanently doesn't quite fit your argument- yes we made some money on Chuk and Ramey but not big bucks.

Luiz wasn't a cheap signing at the time.

Ramsey was the last player who came through the youth team set up to play regularly .

Free signings on mammoth wages don't count in my book, even if they are good business overall.

But yeah you can cherry pick what you like and change the criteria of the argument to suit yours if that makes you feel better but our scouting and youth system isn't yet up to par yet, but is improving every year. We are doing a lot of things right, just love us to bring in some more leftfield signings - which we are getting linked to already so think Monchi will work that magic.

I didn't realise we were having an argument and there were certain rules to the discussion. I just threw out a few names from the top of my head.

Is there a time limit you were thinking off?

Archer was sold permanently. We are now going to buy him back permanently (and then maybe sell him again permanently).

Ok, no free signings - didn't realise that was a rule.

Dwight Yorke (26 years ago)n is the same time period as Grealish (3 years ago)?? Hmmm ok.

Luiz was pretty cheap, and again you hadn't specified they had to be under a specific value.

Right, so on your specific criteria, Villa are crap at finding players. Ok.
