  1. After some thinking on this i've calmed down on this, I honestly think the Birmingham Mail are loving this, what do they actually have in terms of evidence that we want McLeish. They do not like the fact that AVFC do not do their business in PUBLIC and never will, Birmingham Mail have the whole coverage on this story based on an e-mail from Pannu and his comments that he'll want 5Million. I just cannot see us getting involved in this mud slinging, I think we're still targeting who we want however when Blues tried to force the situation we put them in their place in regards to the legalities, i.e. we can talk to who ever we want. I will still support the club and be at VP however i will be hugely disappointed at this appointment. The press are making us fans look real small-time and are actually loving the way we are reacting, all this protest lark, **** the protest. We are Villa and we should get behind our club, yes thats right it's OUR club, not McLeish or Randy's or even Krulaks, it's our. Theirs a season ticket holder who sits next to me in the Trinity, he has been a season ticket holder for 77years, I look at him and think thats a true Villa fan who has possibly been seen all the ups and downs that possibly can be but still follows them.

  2. DVIN spot on, i really don't think McLeish will change his style either, he will always play not to lose it's that simple, you have to consider he's not very good at that either considering the dicks been relegated twice but you know what i'm optimistic i think there's no way he will be manager, something just isn't right about the whole thing, e-mails, general, something fishy. We're either playing the media for fools or we're going for someone else, McLeish just doesn't fit into what Randy was setting out to do, you don't go from Martinez to McLeish.

  3. Mysteryman

From a position of relative calm having received what I considered on Sunday night a message that I presumed had been conveyed to the person by the inner sanctum I have to hold my hands up here and say I am not 100 percent sure NOW . Unlike the Hughes one where I am 100 percent I think my messenger and me was premature with saying it won't be McCleish !

The words coming back to me ' We can't keep discounting everyone and nothing is impossible ' leads me to think there is a consideration of McCleish . I think it would be the biggest mistake of Randy's ownership if true as simply McCleish will not be given any time no chance and will be berated . He would need to win our first 6 games playing like Barcelona to have any chance with the fans . For what it's worth he comes across as a decent guy and if he had come to us from anywhere but Blues I think he may have a chance but that and the dire football throghout his reign simply cannot see how it would work and why we would want him . I still though don't think we will appoint him but I aint nowhere near as sure as I was now as obviously other targets are looking less likely and they are keeping options open .

    Meltdown begins guys!

  4. No doubt this e-mail will be ignored considering your too busy responding to the e-mails of certain Blues Directors, but for some reason i feel this club has gone full 360 and returned to the days of Doug Ellis, fans planning protests. When we appointed Houllier, I thought the whole reasoning was to change the 'philosophy' of the club. Now we are looking at some whose football is worse than MON's, we have great youth coming through at VP, you tell me which players has McLeish ever brought through? no doubt we'll be linked to Kenny Miller in this window. General Krulak's comments are a disgrace to those who pay, by making out McLeish will be better due to the resources available. I'm sorry but we're a mid-table club and unfortunately i think you as a BOARD have accepted this. Villa fans are being attacked by every media outlet for being fickle, and we have had no protection from our club to support us but then you expect us to give you our support because you're in charge. Randy you have done so many great things for this club and i'm still in hope you will continue this but by appointing McLeish you will lose a lot of support. Many fans will not renew if this man is appointed it's that simple, I'm still in two minds whether to ask for a refund as I love my club but i will not be able to bare the site of every Saturday arriving at VP thinking of Rugby football. My gripe with McLeish is nothing to do with Blues, it's the fact is football is worse than MON and i cannot for the life of me ever see him taking us forwards. At this moment in time i would rather you have kept Gerard Houllier.

An e-mail I've sent to Villa.

Incredibly, Peter Pannu is the only one who comes out of this with any decency. I feel sorry for #bcfc fans. They don't deserve this.

    Neil_Moxley_DM Neil Moxley

And as for the people running #avfc - hang your heads in shame. Honesty and integrity? Don't make me laugh...

This man is hitting the Oli Holt level. Seriously with some of his outrageous comments think Villa should look into suing his ass.

  6. I've just listened to the report on SSN... and Rob the kno* with the supposed Sky Sports sources has just said... NOTE CAREFULLY

AVFC haven't contacted B'ham City in any formal way... it was done in a more casual way... "Is he available?"

As if Randy Lerner would in anyway conduct business like that?!!!

WE ALL KNOW how Randy has conducted the club's affairs regarding finding a new manager because Whelan told everyone!!!

This is all made up rubbish to get Villa fans baying for Randy's blood, that's what.

Someones telling porkies because Tom Ross has stated it was the Blues director who intially made contact, I agree, they have seen the fans reactions so know people will now be glued to to everything.

  7. So we sent an email to small heath telling them we can talk to their ex manager if we want to?

    Whats point of that?

Blues director e-mailed Villa to basically state they cannot speak to McLeish without their permission and it will cost us. Effectively sounding out our interest to see if they can recover some cash, to which Villa's response was he's resigned we can speak to him IF WE WISH i.e. Blues JOG ON. Great response.

  8. Spot on JulieB, Villa have been quiet on the whole manager situation, you really think there going to tell plans of what they're going to do over an e-mail. They just told Blues that they can speak to McLeish if they like and their threats mean **** all.

  9. I honestly think Blues contacted Villa and asked them what the score was to basically put a threat out you talk to McLeish it's going to cost you or lets do a deal, so Villa politely told them he's resigned and they can speak to him if they wish.

    The GoalZone Twitter

This has come after Villa responded to an e mail from Blues director to director in writing

Told you who needs MM hey with my mysterious guessing skills.

  11. thegoalzone Tom Ross

Blues are ready to use injunctions to prevent Villa speaking to Alex McLeish until compensation is agreed..

    thegoalzone Tom Ross

Villa have told Blues that as Alex Mcleish has resigned they are free to speak to him if they wish

Anything to try and build conspiracies in Birmingham.
