  1. i dont think it will be long before we get a statement from the club stating he's not for sale at any price. plus i think his new contract will be signed next week as soon as he's back on home soil.

i then hope MoN take the initative and gets the rest of the unsellable on long contracts asap.

  2. for me the simple fact is this is Man City's way of unsettling rhe player, normally teams will tap the player up via his agent, but seeing as Jimmy is represented by the PFA i dont think that would be very wise, now until villa come out or jimmy does that he's not for sale and staying a villa i can see them doing the same as the lescott saga last year where the price keeps going up and the players head is turned, the 1 thing i think will be different to that is jimmy doesnt seem to be motivated by the money and i have no doubt he will nopw be offered a very big contract, if he wasnt going to be already.

SSN JUST STATED BID REJECTED LOL

  3. Evening General, i dont normally comment or ask question on here, but after the MoN leaving saga we have just had, and now this supposed bid from man city i think its in the clubs best interest to start to come out and sqaush these rumours if thats what they, after reading randys last statement i took it that jimmy wanst for sale and if this is the case then a simple message from MoN or randy stating this and that future bids will not be entertained would resolve this or it could be 1 long summer ahead.

    cheers

i hope your back fighting fit as we need our marine corp back down VP next season

  4. SSN said there waiting for the villa response, i guess they have worked out MoN and Randy yet as it will be a long summer of waiting :-)

but i do believe that we need to come out and rubbish the rumours so Jimmy can concentrate on his world cup preperations.

also just sending a text to SSN lets hope that read it out, ive signed it CoE82.

  5. I can see them coming in with a £ 25 million cash deal next with a player thrown into the bargain, probably Ireland.

And I think it will be accepted.

    He's gone folks!

i have a little more faith in the manager and owner of our club abd think he's going nowhere, we don't need the money, it's been proved since randy has come, that if MoN wants someone he will give him the money.

the only thing i think villa need to do is come out early and squash the rumours before they get to far down the road, randy's statement stated he should have done so with the MoN leaving rubbish, now is the time to show.

im surprised after the MoN saga no one has asked the general if this is going to start happening.

  6. He is a behemoth for us, we can't afford to sell him to anyone, especially one of our rivals.

what you mean we can't afford, according to Bluemoon its a done deal and will be unvielled in the next 2 days :lol::lol:

i have not had as much as a laugh than reading the Milner transfer thread, i think its only going to get worse as the summer goes on, and no doubt with the england games coming up he will no doubt be doing an interview and the good old english press will grill our Jimmy.

i believe randy when he say's Milner is going nowhere, bu i do believe if thats the case Villa as a football club need to squash these rumours ASAP, or we will have the same as the MoN leaving saga for the rest of the summer.

    Right chaps

Take this info in whatever way you like, i have in the last few moments recieved a pm on here off what i would consider a very respected poster and someone i believe is itk,

This person wishes to remain in the background and seldom posts his itk info directly on the board, this has been done via pm and i would consider his info solid!

James Milner/Aston Villa are indeed in advanced talks for the transfer of said player to Manchester City.

I thought this player was perhaps being used as a red herring, i'm reliably informed i couldn't be further from the truth.

This post is a genuine post not a wum i suppose the next few hours days will confim.

    Thanks.

worth a read just for the fact that no matter who unfortunate and deluded you think some villa fans are there's always worse out there

and you though VT was full of loonies

i hope my 1st attempt of a short link has worked

  7. I do not think it is up to the manager or owner, I think the player will make the decision

well if a player is under contract them ultamately it is, now that player can try to force a move but if the owner and manager say no then he will go nowhere, just most owners and manager wont keep someone that can be destructive to the team IE GB,

i think we can all agree that Milner just doesnt seem that type of player and will possibly only leave when it make sense for him and the club.

i think the problem is people think we have no money to spend, and with randy saying sell to buy is good business sense they have come up with the conclusion that we have to sell off our prized assests.

i think this summer the deadwood will be gone, and any 1st teamers/sub's that dont want to stay and fight for there place.

the likes of Milner, A Young, Gabby, Downing are here for the long haul and as long as we continue to progress and show ambition with stay.

this summer is a big one for us and one that MoN needs to get right, on and off the field.

im happy to sit tight and see what happens, than get wound up every day 1 of our players are mentioned to be moving.

  8. I cant agree with that bottom value though Wigglyrichard. £15m for a player we paid £12m for, when he has came on leaps and bounds and proved to the Premier League that he is not only a top class wide player but he can excel in central midfield too?

Ok maybe £20m should be the bottom line, but do you agree that Milner is off?

    No. Why would he be?

They won't offer us enough to make us sell and we'll ask for more money than they will want to pay.

i think the point people are missing here is that most transfers are driven by greedy agents always looking to line there pockets, now milner doesnt have one of them and is managed by the PFA (i stand corrected if wrong),

milner also seems to be driven by the desire to play football rather than money, which is strange for modern day footballers.

the simple facrt is unless MoN and Randy decide they want to sell he will be going nowhere fast, regardless of what over is on the table, we only sold barry due to him having his head turned by his agent.

so until Milner comes out and say's he wants to move then Man Shitty and the rest can go and take a long run and jump.

  9. did anyone go to the torch on the carling cup final?

I'm thinking either going the green man, the greyhound or the torch.

Anyone know which one is better? And know the prices of a pint? etc..

green man was awesome for cc final...proper party atmosphere. £3 a pint but they sold cans too for £2

im travelling up on my own from cardiff so anyone that can advise where the villa will be drink would be very appreciated, wheres the green man, greyhound or torch.

im getting into london victoria 12:20pm so will get a tube

  10. The stream I've got made it hard to tell, I can't blame the ref for giving it either way but if theres contact, to my mind, it's absolutely minimal and nowhere near enough for Zhirkov to audition for the next Superman movie.

As it is, we've not been bad at all but could be better. Friedels not had a lot to do, defence has been decent, midfield in the centre is doing much imo as both teams focus on the wings, Young has been good once again. Gabby's been quiet, I don't like him out wide to be honest, and Carews become our RVN seemingly.

The hopeful punts down the pitch aren't going to do anything, but when we can be arsed to pass we've looked good. Sidwell's ball for the goal was abolutely sublime.

my stream is crystal clear and there was no contact at all, let alone "stood on his toe" its even more of a dive when they play it in slow motion, but we need to do the samew when we get in there box as thois referee's a joke, how you can lead with an elbow and get away with again is crfiminal, its as if the referee didnt see it in midweek when pompey had 2 players carried off.

  11. finally we look to have a balanced team, shame its taken 31 games to get it, downing had to be dropped, he needs the rest and be nice to get jimmy back on the wing.

still think it will be a draw, but wouldnt put it past us to go and win.

id rather a win or a lose, but thats due to the bad omens

    i.e

manc's we won, drew and lost the final

chavski we won, ? and semi final ?

so we need to break that hoodoo :D

  12. To anybody saying we'll loose 4 or 5-0, you ain't villa fans.

Did you see the Sunderland game?

yeah and take craig gordon out of the game and we would have had 3-4 more goals, we played ok against sunderland, but it just wasnt our day.

no doubt if we win today you'll be the first on here saying how great we are

i cant criticise the players for there effort, i could criticise MoN as his lack of rotation and stubborness to play certain players is what is costing us, ie heskey up front, cuellar at right back.

dunne was carrying a knock on wednesday but insteads of resting him and pushing cuellar into centre half and young at right back he plays him and now we may not have him for the chelsea game.

  13. hang on lads, tbh, we couldnt have done much more

How about not conceding a sloppy goal? How about putting our chances away? How about going for it in the second half? How about the players looking like they actually want to finish fourth? Gutless....

so i guess the 3 point blank saves by gordon was poor finishing as all 3 were heading into the net, tonight was 1 of them nights, we did everything and deserved the 3 points.

tonight just prove petrov is wank, he gives the ball away to much and is miles behind the game, at the end he should of been on delfousno's shoulder.

im feed up of hearing about all this tiredness, he's paid 50-60k a week for that i'd play 7 days a week.

also if MoN needs anymore prove about heskey, then hopefully deflousno has shown that we have better on the bench then that donkey. also JC played very well again and if not for gordon's excellence would of had another hatrick.

  14. i though we played very well, gordon kept them in it time and again, plus the officials were shocking, it just wasnt to be, the lads gave there all.

also petrov has to be dropped why oh why wasnt he with delfousno at the end for an each roll in, the bloke is a liability and just does nothing all game.

on another night we would of had 3-4 goals. with city losing were still in it as spuds have the top 3 and cioty to go and will not pick up much points from there.
