I have no idea who those two clubs are.

I do love our current circle best now apart from our club name being there. That always seems idiotic to me. Why actually name the club on the crest? I would prefer only 1874 and Prepared. New shield is meh. Looks like LogoMaker.com product.
Take the name away and no one but Villa fans will know what the hell club it is.
If we could only have one thing, I would have the name. It is unique.
( I am assuming you are serious )

Heck - are you seeing this?

We need a strong defence which does not look as if it's members have only just met.
That has been our downfall in some previous matches.

Fail to win this and you know there is a problem.
I already know there is a problem. Too big a drop off to our second string. We need 3 top level players to get us top 4 and keep us there.

Very difficult for youngsters to get into the first team, It is a sign of our progression.
We cannot have it both ways; if we want silverware or CL we need to buy elite.

The 150 logo should be, and probably will be, entirely separate from the badge.
After all, it will be out of date by next year.

You kind of get the sense that we perform much more fluently with both Luiz and Kamara on the pitch. I think that was clearly evident from the performance at Brentford.
We absolutely do. Shame to lose Kamara for 3 games, but it is what it is.

Instantly recognisable.
It simply screams out 'That Iranian club in the Premier League'.

“Interesting new aspects to the kit” is a phrase which makes me shudder.
No shirts and shorts.
Just one piece skin tight lycra.

On the plus, side we have Luiz and Digne back, Luiz being our most important player.
2 of these games we should be able to win, but Man U could be very difficult.
-
It was a great 3 points, but I wonder how many points this stupidity might cost us over the next 3 games.

That was a lot closer than it needed to be.
There is an alarming drop off when we play our second string.
Zaniolo MOM because:
a, the rest of the team were even shitter than him.
b, he scored his first and what proved to be the team's very important goal.
The second string is poor, and unnecessarily bringing on Dendonker and Chambers could have been very costly for us.
-
Let's not make the mistake of throwing away this promising opportunity by fielding a too weak team.
Especially the defence; that is where we have erred before. Too weak and it throws the entire team into disarray.

It’s funny really - I wonder how much Emery is being paid?
Even if it’s a huge number for a coach, it’s basically nothing compared to the fees / wages for a player. And if we end up having to sell a player like Luiz or McGinn or Watkins in summer we’d probably get double or triple what we’d have got for them previously (to say nothing of Bailey). He’ll have paid for himself ten times over.
It throws the last twenty years into sharp focus - there’s been times where we’ve ended up with players that were carrying the rest of the team and clearly too good for us (e.g. Benteke / Grealish) but they’ve never been transformative like having a truly top class manager has been.
Clearly we should have been throwing our money at managers instead of players!
Emery has proved that the manager is far more important than any player.

I have been a Villa supporter for 67 years, and I think this is the best manager we have had in that time.
He has something about him that transcends the best of our other managers.

Top of the league is a step too far for us at this stage, and I would be very happy with top 4 for this season.
We need at least 2 top players this window to achieve even that.
(However, if we should win the league this year, you can quote this post and shower me with derision)

After a rocky start he is now showing his true worth.
A wonderful player. So cultured.

I had real doubts about him, but he obviously just needed time.
He has been brilliant recently, and I love to see it.

1-0 flattered them , we out played them in every position and they barely had a sniff
no doubt their fans will play the spurs card and moan about injuries , suspensions etc but I think the players were up for it tonight regardless of who they fielded.
Amazon spent about 20 mins talking about Lewis and how good he is , he just got schooled by McGinn but the whole midfield was Fantastic tonight
Bailey man of the match , but I thought Konsa was great tonight and ran him and McGinn close for best player
If anyone ever doubted it then I’m sure the big boys know now we are coming for them … it might be next season or the season after , but we are coming
This.
The scoreline does not reflect our dominance.

That was a STATEMENT win.
We're comin' for ya.

Would also like to point out that for all of the 'battered us' talk, presumably mostly from Spurs fans, their xG was 2.3, whilst ours was 2.4. Guess what, offside goals don't count because they are OFFSIDE!
Yep. There is no such thing as an offside goal.

Impressive first half. Second half - not so much, but job done. Great win. McGinn MOM - easy decision. Emery is pure magic.

Thank you. I know I could have googled it, but surely that is my point. It is not immediately obvious who they are.
