Wrong time to start this thread!!

At the minute, many of the forum users seem to be caught up in the same old transfer window hysteria that we see twice a year. All doom and gloom because we haven't made any marquee signings yet and the squad is too small? Really? I never would have guessed.

Many of the people on here simply seem to have forgotten the 10 years of mediocrity before MON arrived. Not all the managers were bad, and we've had some good players along the way, but I don't remember a time as positive as a supporter of Aston Villa. Good chairman, good manger, a bit of cash, and some genuine quality in the squad. Of course I'm happy!

Though because we've yet to show our colours in the transfer market this year (in a week it will all be different...) i fear the majority of short-sighted, lightweight Villa fans, will say no.

Having a different opinion is not short sighted...who cares whats happend in the last ten years...we are not hull city ffsake we are Villa. I judge the squad on this season and this season alone...I look at our squad plues our european games to come plus cup matches and the results are clear to see...our squad is simply not good enough. Throw in Osbourne,Salifou and Heskey as members of that squad and I can see us getting outplayed (like last year) by a hell of a lot of teams

I heard today it can be a bad thing to run on treadmills, damages knees etc, any truth to this?

I've heard the opposite - people I know with knee problems use the treadmill rather than the roads until it's cleared up.

Personally I wouldn't touch a treadmill with a bargepole, I hate gyms with a passion.

racism exists in all areas of society....look at how many people go out with someone of the same skin colour...at uni we have loads of asians and they never go out with any white people...the same as i never see white guys going out with black girls...These are the thing people ignore and when religion, race and politics is involved it will ALways create tensions within society...if we see a reason to fight with each other we like to....its part of our animal nature from our time as monkeys....We are now all just Monekeys in suits and ties...nothing changes

Take a walk on the street i bet you see more black and black couples and white and white couples and asian asian couples....its not in every case and we have exceptions but i would say out of the people i see on the street and i know.....4-5 per cent are mixed race and 95 socialise and reproduce with the same...

I think lots of People do not believe their lives are better due to multiculturalism, people do not accept the fact they should take pay cuts & accept longer hours to compete with immigrant workers, people on the social housing waiting list do not gracefully accept the fact asylum seekers are more deserving of a habitable home than they are. The BNP are the only party who accept this hence they will continue gathering support until the main stream take their heads out of the politically correct sand & do something about it.

I am a Current season ticket holder at Villa Park as my dad, grandfather was before me. And I was wondering if you can tell me if Randy and the Aston Villa Board have looked into possibly implementing the Modern and Popular "Safe Standing" Zones at Villa Park???...some modern examples are the ones implemented in grounds in Holland and Germany have been a resounding success!

A move like this would absolutley Delight all the Aston Villa fans, and honestly make Randy twice as popular with the Villa fans as he already is!!
