  1. Bullied? Someone voices a different opinion to you and you feel bullied? Bieng a bit precious aren't we? To compare things as they are now to the end of the Ellis era is a strange comparison, the 2 couldn't be far enough away. With Ellis there were no signs of investment and the whole infrastructure of the club was in a state of collapse, today, it's what's happening on the pitch that is a nproblem and a worry but continual harrassment of players and the manager will not help us get it right.

It wasn't other clubs fans who passed the comments it was the panel, but you probably don't care what they say either, fair enough, but when well known ex players have detrimental things to say about my club then I do care.

My opinion, which differs from yours is that polls like this should stop now and we should get behind the players and the team.

Phil Thompson and Matt le Tiss

  2. Show's fickleness IMO!

It shows that people love the Villa and want the best for it. Wanting one underperforming clun employee sacked isn't being fickle. Going off to support another team would be fickle.

You call booing at half time when 1 down support?

I don't believe they were booing due to the score. I believe it was the horrible football that was being played by the home side.

And we played better after all the booing, Yes?

Well actually yes we did :D:D We started the second half at a much quicker pace and looked like scoring...then we lost the plot later on...

More Booing is needed from the booers next time I feel 8)

  3. I honestly think the likes of Hodgson, Martinez, Bruce could do so much better for us than O'Neil.

Then why haven't they done better than us yet?

because they have had 15 million per year as opposed to martin`s 100 million including a squad with Laursen and Barry

  4. I dont see why I have to justify myself to some of you but here we go...

    We play dire hoofball.

We have a shocking scouting system for buying foreign starlets and pay overated fees for overated englishmen.

We have one of the worst succesful passing stats of any team in the league during the whole of last season.

We sign absolute dross apart from a few exceptions..

O Neill moans about small squads like o dreary did (even after 3 years)

He has not replaced Barry or Laursen

He plays players out of position

    He sets out terrible tactics

He cannot set out a team to defend one match

2 Wins in 17 matches-worse than DOL for form

He constantly tells us how difficult his job is when he has more cash than most other managers..100 mill to spend

He never makes subs until too late in matches

He has no plan B and plan A rarely works

Just a poor poor Premier League manager...a relic and a throwback from the clough era who belongs in the scotland where you only need 12 cavemen with small amounts of skill to beat the crap opposition.

  5. Here's a scenario! before the season started how many people would have took 3 points from our opening two fixtures? well what happens if you go and spank Liverpool? aren't we where we thought we would be? I know it's all if's and but's....BUT let's not give up after one game eh?!

For the umpteenth time, it's not just about one game.

What about all the games before when we played some fantastic football?

7 Away wins on the bounce.

This all proves to me that MON and the squad have it in them to turn things around.

It was not just because of Laursen and Barry.

Oh yes this famous run of away wins....:lol:

Hull- Last minute Goal- deserved to lose

Sunderland- got a pen that never was

Gillingham- exactly the same as Sunderland

West Ham- Got hammered and got a lucky milner deflected goal

Everton- routed all match and got an ill deserved 3-2

  6. rofl are you joking....If we bought Van Der Varrt, Ruud V N, Villa Park will be full every week.....Who wants to go and watch footballing imposters like Heskey and Shorey put on the famous villa shirt??

What an odd post. I go to watch Aston Villa, not the people who happen to be wearing our shirt until we sack them off or they get a better offer and sack us off. What a truly odd statement :?

Not odd at all Turamber...we have 10,000 people who are sunshine supporters and turn out for the big games or to usually see new faces or just to see villa when we are doing well...not everyone has the same view as yours or mine...I love villa as much as any hardcore fan but my patience is being tested after 6 months of constant dross

  7. People bang on about buying top players yet only 35k of us turn up today.

    What do people expect?

rofl are you joking....If we bought Van Der Varrt, Ruud V N, Villa Park will be full every week.....Who wants to go and watch footballing imposters like Heskey and Shorey put on the famous villa shirt??

  8. Is it really the right time for MON to go? Daft word removeds!

I'm not so sure any more.

He has done a fantastic job getting us to where we are. Superb. But is he really the man to take us forward?

He obviously can't spot a defender to save his life, yet here we are two weeks from the end of the window in desperate need of a quality defender to steady the ship. Trust him to find that man do you?

I would say if not MON, the who? But that's for a different thread.

You really can't sack the manager after one very poor display though.

Try 15 poor performances last season...almost back to back poor displays

  9. This is the first time I will say it...

I want Martin O´Neill out. Todays performance showed me that he has taken the club as far as he can with two consecutive 6th places.

The team lack almost everything at the moment and I dont trust his tactical knowledge and I certainly dont trust him on the transfer market. His coaching ability is tops...but that is not enough in Premier League.

    I was embarrassed today...

Wigan Athletic made us look like a joke. They had brilliant creativity in players like newly signed Gomez...absolutely brilliant crossings and passings from Figueroa and also a lethal striker in Rodallega. How a club like Wigan can find and attract those kind of players is beyond me...no..I correct myself...how a club like that can find those players..yet Villa misses out again and again. This small club found Esteban Valencia..and sold him with great profit in the summer. They rebuild and find new gems...

It is time Martin...I am actually sad to say...but it is time to leave. The gameplay is awful..the energy was shameful and the whole attitude in a opening day game suggest that they all have lost it at Villa Park!

    Great Post

  10. How many of you really thought Delph would start?I didnt. Two in the middle and one straight from league one?MON could have helped Delph by using a 451 and given the kid some support because he was out of his depth otherwise.

I agree surely Coker must of started with Petrov in the middle peopel who knew each other...Idiotic Decision from O Neill....But then again he bought Emile Heskey
